La Piramide di Khafre (conosciuta anche come Piramide di Khefren) è la seconda piramide più grande dell'Altopiano di Giza e fu costruita per il faraone Khafre durante la IV dinastia intorno al 2570 a.C. Sebbene sia leggermente più piccola della Grande Piramide di Khufu, la sua posizione più alta sull'altopiano la fa apparire più alta da lontano.
La piramide a gradoni di Djoser è il monumento in pietra di grandi dimensioni più antico del mondo ed è considerata la prima piramide mai costruita. Situata nell'antica necropoli di Saqqara, a circa 30 km (19 miglia) a sud del Cairo, fu costruita nel corso del XXVII secolo a.C. per il faraone Djoser della Terza Dinastia.
Sempre a Giza, ammirerai la Sfinge, la vasta statua mezzo leone e metà umana ancora in piedi dopo quasi 3.500 anni, prima di salire in macchina per un altro breve viaggio in auto per Saqqara. Questa vasta necropoli è stata il cimitero della città di Memphis per migliaia di anni. Nonostante le sue dimensioni ridotte, la Piramide di Menkaure è rinomata per la sua eccezionale artigianalità. La parte inferiore era originariamente ricoperta di granito rosso lucido di Assuan, mentre la parte superiore era rivestita di calcare bianco fine, creando un contrasto sorprendente.

I absolutely do not recommend this tour operator, we booked a guide in Italian and only the night before the tour they wrote us on whatsapp saying that the guide would be in English because in Italian it was not available. Obviously I accepted because at such short notice I could not have organized anything else, but spend more than 200 € to not even understand what was explained to me, I find it a theft. However our guide Mohamed was very kind and patient and we tried to translate many things with the mobile phone. The lunch was actually a dinner .. you got it right, we didn't eat anything throughout the day.

It was nice of them that they charged a minimum amount when we realized we booked the wrong date. However, during the tour they stopped by a lot of shops. When we said we did not want to go to more shopping centers, they said ok, but afterwards didn't give us free time. After we said we did not want to see more shops, we had less free time and the tour ended at 1pm.(2 hours before the scheduled time) The guide's attitude changed right away. It wasn't the worst tour but we did not know that we would go to so many shops and expected more... Our precious time during the trip was wasted too much.

We had an amazing time with our tour guide Ahmed Gaber and our driver Mina. First off Mina was one of the best driver we ever had - polite and was very cautious while driving. Ahmed our guide explained everything thoroughly and had time for many of our questions. We also enjoyed touring the perfume and papyrus store. Ahmed and Mina also went out of their way to take us to one of the cotton store that we had wanted to go to. Highly recommend this tour. Will book again on our return to Cairo! :)

It is an excellent private tour. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and gave us a fantastic day in Cairo, Egypt. We learned about history, art, culture, and much more. We are well-traveled and have high standards, and we were very happy with our tour guide - He was great and spoke excellent English. We stopped at several sites to purchase local items, which gave us great souvenirs. The only thing is, there might be some areas where you might feel obligated to buy items but not forced to. I also applied for tips. Overall, the tour was lovely, and I would recommend this tour. Just make sure to have some change lying around. 😅
