Itinerario

Our tour guide, Costanza was incredible! She had the most insight into the history of the Akademia exhibits as well as the Uffizi. Sometimes humorous but always insightful pointing out aspects that we would never had gotten on our own, especially from an artist point of view as my husband is a lifelong artist and appreciated every detail! Also the back story of the places along the walking tour she made sure we were made aware of and encouraged us to go back and visit on our own which we did. Taking special care of”as mamma” because the weather in August was stifling but she paid attention to all. Communication with the Viatar people was a bit more challenging as while using the gps to find our meeting point I was unable to log in to revisit the address. That improvement could be made easier. The place where we met was a comfortable waiting area. Overall I would definitely choose this tour again.
Our guide, Margaret, was fantastic! Very personable and knowledgeable. She kept a great pace and knew the rhythms of the museums and the city streets, including all the places to pause and rest, which was valuable in 100° weather. I learned so much from her about the famous David statue as well as about the history of the Medicis and the ways that Renaissance philosophy found itself in the specific sculptures and paintings she chose as examples. I loved my experience and would highly recommend it. And I especially thank Margaret for being such a warm and skilled teacher.
Our guide Oksana was excellent. Knowledgeable and passionate about the art and sculptures. There is so much to see that the tour of Uffizi should be on its own. The Duomo was a whistle-stop in front and didn't go in. Perhaps Duomo and Academia could be coupled together with entry to duomo. Might already be an option but wasn't presented to us.
Sylvie was a great tour guide. Both locations were packed but she was able to help us through and we still saw all the main pieces. Very interesting!
Our guide was superb and provided excellent insight behind both the history and art of the Uffizzi and Academia!
This was a very expensive tour for a limited time spent in Accademia. You will see David but only one floor of the building. I won’t call out my tour guide by name bc it was clearly an off day for them and they have great reviews here otherwise, but several folks in my group noticed their negative attitude and that they didn’t want to be there. It improved over the tour but started the tour with an unpleasant vibe. The Uffizi was spectacular and the guide was definitely knowledgeable but I do not feel we truly got our money’s worth.
Dear Chante,Thank you sincerely for your thoughtful feedback, and for your kindness in not naming the guide. We’re glad to hear the Uffizi was spectacular and that your guide’s knowledge came through, and I’m truly sorry the tour started with a vibe that didn’t meet the standard we hold.I completely understand your concern about value for money, and I’d like to share some context for our mutual clients worldwide:On pricing: The cost of art tours in Florence has risen significantly this year because state museum ticket prices increased by 45%. Current official rates are: Uffizi Gallery €35 and Accademia Gallery €24 per person, just for entry. On top of that, as a licensed operator we also carry the costs of local taxes, office rent, licensed guides, reservations, insurance, and staff salaries. We run these tours with a very small margin because our focus is on quality and timed entry access, not on big markups. With those ticket costs alone at €59 per person, the overall tour price is now very high. That’s why even a 1-2 hour visit to the Accademia, where you see David and one main floor, can feel limited compared to the total cost.On the experience: We’re sorry the guide’s energy started low. We have spoken with the team to remind everyone that the first 10 minutes set the tone for the whole tour, regardless of personal off days. We’re glad it improved, and we appreciate you acknowledging the guide’s knowledge and great reviews overall. We truly want every guest to feel they got their money’s worth. If you’re open to it, we’d love to welcome you back on a combined Uffizi & Accademia 4-hour tour so you can experience both museums fully with one guide at a smoother pace.Thank you again for your honesty. Feedback like yours helps us keep improving for all travelers visiting Florence.Warm regards,
