Il Parco nazionale Udawalawe, il sesto più grande santuario per animali dello Sri Lanka, si trova a 112 miglia (180 km) da Colombo nel settore centro-meridionale dell'isola. Il parco è situato appena a sud degli Altipiani centrali, la cui scarpata crea uno sfondo incantevole. Raggiungerai l'Udawalawe entro le 14:30, prosegui per il Parco nazionale di Udawalawe dove incontrerai la tua jeep safari per fare un delizioso safari in jeep. Goditi un safari di tre ore che ti darebbe la possibilità di esplorare l'incredibile Parco Nazionale dell'Udawalawe. Viaggia attraverso le paludi, le foreste e le praterie del parco che è stato creato come santuario per la fauna selvatica negli anni '70. Guarda gli uccelli acquatici e gli elefanti dello Sri Lanka per i quali il parco è famoso. Cattura scorci di altri mammiferi e uccelli, nonché di rettili, anfibi e farfalle. Dopo il safari, tornerai al tuo veicolo e tornerai in hotel entro le 21:00, completando il tour.

Awesome experience! Couldn’t recommend enough. We were picked up from our hotel in Weligama and had the 4 hour safari option. We saw over 75 elephants and lots of other wildlife.

Kani drove us to the park and he was fabulous. Janaka was our safari driver and he was excellent. Janaka could spot wildlife, especially birds, which enhanced our experience. The elephants were fun to watch. They are much smaller than African elephants, so we got really close to them. Lots of fun! Be ready for a bumpy ride.

It was a unique and beautiful experience! The organization went smoothly and especially my driver (Kani) was incredibly nice and helpful! Would book a tour or ride with him again at any time! The safari itself was also great. Experience elephants and other animals in the wild is a great experience. Under Safari Guide was also super friendly and was able to show us lots of animals and impart knowledge about them. An all-round successful day!

Super organized safari tour. Already after booking we received via WhatsApp the time of pickup at the hotel with additional information about car and driver. Our driver Suranga was on time. At Udawalawe National Park the jeep was already waiting for us. We had a private tour alone in the jeep. Our driver Darmasiri from Max Safari Villa drove us through the park, alerted us to the partially hidden animals, stopped long enough so that we could watch and photograph the animals in peace. In particular, he also took care not to disturb the animals. At the end of the tour our taxi with driver Suranga was already waiting for us and brought us back to our accommodation in Weligama. We can absolutely recommend the tour!
