Gilbert was the best guide throughout the entire tour! We really enjoyed him and everything Eco Tours offered!
Such a great day! It was raining so another couple canceled and it was just my sister and I (65y & 69y). Our driver Dario was simply amazing. Great commentary of the island. First stop was zip lining. Zipline company was very organized and safety was evident in every interaction. We zipped 6 lines. We had 2 employees assigned to us. Darren went ahead and waited for us on each zip and controlled our stops. He even took pics and videos of us. Ian hooked us up each ride and then followed us. Great guys! Dario then took us to the cave tubing location about 5 minutes away. He served as our guide during the entire tubing experience. We rented water shoes ($3) and had a decent walk to the cave with 3 water passages. Very rocky but we managed fine. During the walk-through, the rainforest, Dario pointed out all the different trees, species and stories about them. It was so interesting to hear different folklore about some of the species. When we got to the cave, he hooked us up and guided us through the river. It was really cool and quite relaxing. After the tubing ended Dario asked us if we would like to try the most popular edition Belize, which was stewed chicken and beans and rice. He took us to a little roadside restaurant and joined us for a quick lunch before we headed back. He was outstanding tour guide. So knowledgeable, and friendly. We wanted to adopt him!
Dennis Jr was a great guide: knowledgeable and friendly. He picked us up from the cruise terminal and then it was about an hours drive to the zip-lining. Darrin and William were our guides and they were excellent. Their primary concern was our safety. There were seven zip-lines. It was a beautiful setting in the forest that finished with us zip-lining over a river. After the zip-lining Dennis Jr took us to the cave tubing. This was relaxing as he did all the work of guiding us throughout the journey - which took about an hour. It was interesting to hear the history of how the Mayans viewed the caves, and also to see three different types of bats. It was a really good day.
Dennis was an amazing tour guide! Very knowledgeable on Belize history and fun facts. Do you want above and beyond to make sure we were well accommodated and taken care of for the whole experience.
We had such a great time! My first time zip lining and cave tubbing! Our guide was friendly and fun!
We had the most amazing time with Dennis on this magical day in Belize. It was definitely our lucky day because the other people who were supposed to be in our group ended up cancelling and so we ended up having a private VIP tour!! Instead of riding in a van or a bus to get to the jungle, we rode in Dennis' personal car. He also brought his 7 yo son along, who was darling. In addition to the incredible nature experiences, we really had a great opportunity to chat with Dennis on the 45 minutes back and forth from the port to the jungle. He is a fascinating guy with degrees in both IT and tourism!! He is super knowledgeable about his beloved country and gave us a lot of information about the various ecosystems that we passed through on the way to the jungle. At the zip lines, we were guided by the experts there, and it was just my husband and I with our 2 guides. It doesn't get better than that! Safety was clearly the main focus and I felt safe and secure during our 6 zip line adventure. The guys took pics and videos all along the way, which was awesome as they were not shots that we could have taken ourselves. The cave tubing experience was incredible!! Although we were floating through what the Mayans considered to be the mouth of the Underworld, we were assured that no human bones were found in the river. It would have freaked me out if I thought that human sacrifices had taken place there. There were lots of formations in the stalagmites and stalactites that looked like certain images: "Bob Marley", the Virgin Mary and others. In addition, we were told that the Mayans considered the fresh water falling from the limestone to be holy water. When we came out of the other end of the tunnel, we saw that everyone from the Carnival excursion was at the end of the tour, and we continued floating down the river for at least another half hour. Overall, it was one of the best adventures that we have ever had, and I would highly recommend going with Dennis and Explore Belize Caves!!
Guide was prompt, personable, very knowledgeable, and made the trip a success.
Our group of 7 had a great experience with Dennis Jr. He is fun spirited and very knowledgeable. We did the zipline first and then tubing to cool off and relax. I would absolutely recommend this tour and company. Communication was quick and clear.
From start to finish, this cave tubing and ziplining excursion was an incredible experience. Even before the tour began, the communication was fantastic. Dennis Senior coordinated with us over WhatsApp, answering every single question we had and making sure we were completely prepared with plenty of helpful information. Dennis Junior picked us up directly from the airport, and he instantly set the tone for an amazing day. He is genuinely one of the most knowledgeable tour guides we’ve ever had, but not in a dry, boring way! He has so much natural charisma and personality that a 45-minute drive felt like it only took two minutes. He shared the rich history and local facts about Belize in such an approachable, engaging style that it made the entire day even more fun. What really made the experience impactful was how easy it was to connect with him. When we weren't learning about the fascinating history and beautiful landscape of Belize, we were effortlessly bonding over music and sports. It felt less like a rigid tour and more like exploring the country with a great friend. The cave tubing and ziplining were thrilling and organized, but it was the exceptional hospitality from this team that truly made it unforgettable. If you are looking for a seamless, fun, and deeply engaging day in Belize, book this immediately!
Our tour guide, Dennis Jr., was fantastic! He was knowledgeable, funny, personable, and quite helpful. Ziplining was fun, but the best part was the cave tubing. The sights were wonderful and our trip down the river was longer than if we'd booked through the cruise. The water was refreshing, beautiful, and the caves were very cool. We even got to see some of the bats that live there. While we enjoyed this as our first time ziplining, I'm not sure it'd be as worth it if you've already done a jungle ziplining experience unless you specifically enjoy that activity. No regrets for our first time, but if we return I'd maybe skip that part. Pickup from the ship was easy, with our guide waiting for us. We had to wait a little longer for the rest of our tour group who was on the 2nd shuttle boat, but it was comforting to know they'd wait for us and we weren't going to have been left behind. After we'd experienced everything, we got to eat delicious tamales for a full Belizien experience. I would absolutely recommend this tour and tour guide.
