Il trekking Base Torres è uno dei tour guidati di gruppo più popolari disponibili a Puerto Natales, un'alternativa perfetta per i viaggiatori che hanno solo un giorno per visitare Torres del Paine ma non vogliono perdersi le viste incredibili del Mirador Base Torres. Questo tour è offerto tutto l'anno. Itinerario
Difficoltà: Medio - 20 km (8 ore) - Altitudine di partenza: 295 ft sul livello del mare (90 m) - Altitudine massima: 2855 ft sul livello del mare (870 m) - Il tour inizia con il pick-up presso il vostro alloggio e, a seconda della vostra posizione, arriveremo a prendervi tra le 6:30 e le 7:00 AM. Dopo che il gruppo è riunito, la nostra guida ci darà bastoni da trekking e ci aggiornerà sul tour, in particolare coprendo il trekking a Base Torres. Ci dirigeremo poi al Parco Nazionale Torres del Paine. Nella stagione invernale, i gruppi sono piccoli, con una guida ogni 4 viaggiatori. Nella stagione estiva, i gruppi possono avere fino a 21 persone, con una guida ogni 6 viaggiatori per adattarsi ai diversi passi di camminata. In questo modo, tutti i partecipanti sono sempre accompagnati. È comune che gruppi più piccoli di 7-10 persone si formino lungo il percorso, offrendo un'esperienza più personalizzata.
Dopo due ore di viaggio in navetta, arriveremo all'ingresso del Parco Nazionale attraverso il Settore Porteria Amarga. Dal momento in cui entreremo nel parco, potremo godere delle viste impressionanti di Torres del Paine.
A questo punto, inizierai il trekking verso il settore Hostería Las Torres. Nel viaggio di circa quattro ore, attraverseremo la valle di Ascensio e cammineremo attraverso l'accogliente foresta di Lenga. Vedremo anche la collina Almirante Nieto da diverse prospettive mentre ci facciamo strada. Alla fine di questa sezione, scaleremo una morena glaciale (sentiero roccioso con un ripido pendio), fino a raggiungere la nostra destinazione, il punto panoramico Base Torres.
Con queste viste incredibili, pranzeremo, faremo foto e scenderemo verso la piccola spiaggia formata dal lago. Toccheremo le sue acque e ammireremo le viste mozzafiato dalla spiaggia. Dopo questa sosta, l'intero gruppo si incontrerà e inizierà la discesa, questa parte durerà circa tre ore. La navetta ci riporterà poi a Puerto Natales. Tra le 20:00 e le 21:00, l'autobus arriverà al nostro alloggio e concluderà questa giornata piena di escursioni, emozioni e ricordi alla base delle Torres del Paine.

This is a unique experience and, without a doubt, the best I have ever experienced. It is important to consider that it is highly conditioned by the climate. The guide was transparent from the outset and offered an appropriate service for this type of expedition, which helps minimize risks.

Great communication with the guides from the moment we booked, through pick‑up, and all the way until we were back at the hotel. The scenery was stunning from beginning to end. We enjoyed sunshine for the first four hours, followed by the classic Patagonian mix of clouds and rain — still absolutely beautiful. This guided tour/trek was a great way to hike Base Torres! Pablo and Sebastian were fantastic guides- knowledgeable and patient. It’s a tough hike, especially the last hour, even as someone who works out and runs regularly. I almost gave up with 30-40 minutes to go, but so glad I finished as the views were amazing. The descent was nearly as tough but well worth the pain!

I'm gonna start by saying that Viator needs to change this to a difficult level of hike. If you have any sort of ankle or knee issues, stay away. The view, the hike, all worth it. And our experience may be very dependent on the tour guide we had. Despite having ample time, the whole experience felt rushed, and there was little regard for the physical fitness level of the people hiking (we were a very small group of 4). Even after arriving to the top in a relatively quick pace, we were rushed down the mountain, not only making it dangerous, and painful, but also not really allowing us to take ok the views or take pictures. Carlos was nice but his music ok the morning was incredibly loud (before 7am) and we just didn't feel like he wanted us to enjoy the experience and it was more about getting it done. We were back at our hotel by 6:30 pm. Which really surprised us since he said we'd be back to the national park parking lot around 7 pm.
