Today I had the most incredible private tour of Treblinka with Marcin. His knowledge of this particular subject ,along with his sensitivity ,made this more meaningful than I could have imagined .He was very easy and comfortable to talk to ,which was important since I was on this tour solo. The pick up was seamless at the hotel and the late lunch was delicious at a local restaurant .The pork schnitzel was a winner ! Thank you Marcin for an unforgettable day .I highly highly reccomend this tour and Marcin is a must !
My tour of Treblinka was very good and informative. As a Holocaust educator I was very impressed with my guide Marcin. His knowledge and compassion for the subject was excellent. I would highly recommend this tour and I would also recommend asking for Marcin as your guide.
What a day , we were collected at our hotel by Marcin, the drive was an education on history of Warsaw and we then we drove through dense woodland which we both knew camps were deeply hidden in. We arrived at Treblinka site , Marcin gave us so much information in a way we grasped the full scale of what had happened here, it was easily absorbed, the weather was very warm and tranquil we felt emotion for the loss of life here but we must never forget , we stopped for lunch for pierogi which was very good. We would most definitely recommend this trip with Marcin his passion and knowledge was outstanding. Huge thank you.
Great day out with Marcin, knowledgeable and friendly guide who could answer everything we were interested for the tour and more about polish history. Lovely lunch spot and good conversation. Would highly recommend.
Guide was very knowledgeable, on time pick up, very friendly, very sad place to visit but I would recommend going to bare witness to the atrocities. Price is worth it, approx 1½ hours from warsaw
Thank you very much, we are glad you enjoyed our trip.
A somber reminder of the need to embrace the dark history of humanity in order to move forward in love and compassion.
It is worth the time and effort to visit Treblinka, to pay respects to those who perished there. This trip was well organized, with a terrific guide, Marcin, who arrived on time and was a font of information on the ride to and from Treblinka, and during the tour of the site itself. Marcin is an historian by studies and can easily speak to a wide variety of subjects, connecting key pieces of information to the development, use and attempted destruction of the site. The day was very cold (13 degrees F), but the tour was not hurried, with ample time for individual space and reflection at the site. I would highly recommend this tour and this tour guide. Looking forward to having Marcin lead another tour for me in the future!
Thank you. Your review means a lot to us. We alsa hope to see you soon.
This was an amazing tour, and our tour guide, Marcin Hilgier, was superb. Marcin was extremely knowledgeable of Polish history and culture, not only answering our questions but engaging us in conversation on Polish life.He provided the historical context to Treblinka and shared his own reflections on the tragic narrative of this place. I did not know what to expect, and found the site very stark yet very moving - despite the German's effort to completely erase of the camp from history, it lives on. Marcin gave us ample opportunity to not only learn, but reflect on the importance of Treblinka not only to Poland, to to the world. I highly recommend both Treblinka and our tour guide, Marcin Hilgier.
Excellent experience, the guide was very good and had a lot of historical knowledge. The place is very moving and truly invites reflection on humanity.
This tour was incredibly meaningful. The tour guide, Marcin, was amazingly knowledgeable. He provided details about not only Treblinka but Poland more broadly. He also went above and beyond helping me search out specific areas of the camp and even visiting a local town where family members once lived. Highly recommend
