Flight arrival was...

Flight arrival was delayed one hour. I was concerned but our driver was there patiently waiting for us. Pointed out highlights and gave some history of area on the way to hotel.

Peace of mind upon arriving at our destination

Wonderful experience. Ian was waiting for us in the arrival area and escorted us to a comfortable, clean vehicle. He gave us the option to take a longer route and see some of the city before dropping us at our hotel. Five star experience!!

Poor Customer Support from Viator

Horrible! We travel extensively, but will never use them again. Our flight was delayed and notified Viator that it will miss our Nice arrival. Viator said they would notify the local service. They copied me on an email to the local service that the Nice arrival will be delayed. As soon as I was provided my new flight information I notified the local service. The local service stated I forfeited my payment because they deployed the driver even though we specified that we would not make that arrival. Further, the service told us to get a taxi because they would not be available for our pick up. I'm new to Viator, but I feel I cannot depend on them to ensure my reservations are taken care of. Once booked, they expect us to work with the local service without their help. We have one more tour booked with Viator, but it will probably be our last. Traveling extensively, I get asked for recommendations for travel service providers. At this point, Viator nor this private transfer provider will considered unacceptable to us.

Dear Albert, We are very sorry for the situation you experienced, however we would like to clarify the sequence of events from our side. At 1:00 AM, we received a call via Viator regarding a possible flight change, and we requested that the information be sent by email in order to properly process it but we didn't have any informations about the updated flight. Upon waking, we immediately reviewed the Viator email confirming a delayed flight and took it into account. We also contacted you directly to ask for updated flight details and to be informed of any further changes. Unfortunately, we did not receive any response until after the originally scheduled arrival time had already passed. After that point, the driver had already been deployed according to the confirmed schedule, which is why the service could not be adjusted last minute. All further communication and resolution steps are recorded in the Viator chat history. We remain sorry for the inconvenience caused and regret that the situation could not be resolved in time.
