Il museo commemorativo della battaglia di Normandia si trova alle porte delle spiagge del D-Day. È l'unico museo che presenta tutte le operazioni militari che si sono svolte in terra normanna nei mesi estivi del 1944. Il museo mostra ai visitatori tutte le fasi salienti dei combattimenti e l'avanzata quotidiana delle forze coinvolte. Visitiamo Omaha Beach, che è la seconda spiaggia da ovest tra le cinque aree di sbarco dell'invasione della Normandia della seconda guerra mondiale. The driver was very good. Loved having a private van to take us to all the Normandy sites. The driver communicated well with us, and made sure we got back to our ship on time
Benjamin was an excellent tour guide! He was prompt, courteous and engaging. It’s snowed today and he drove with caution and was very safe. I would definitely use him again if given the opportunity.
Very prompt pick up at cruise terminal. Nice comfortable ride on Beautiful day. It is full day with time for lunch. Normandy cemetery is a must see .(as is Arlington) Hood Communication.
Ahmed was kind and friendly. He was also honest and upfront with us that he's still working on speaking English. He was timely, the car was clean, and he helped us figure out how to get the most out of our day. We really enjoyed the musuem he recommended! We were very comfortable and enjoyed our day in Normandy.
Our driver, Ben, met us at the cruise terminal. We had a 4 year old, a 1 year old, and an 84 year old with a walker. We had specific locations we wanted to see and he changed his itinerary to do ours without hesitation. It was truly a great day with all our family and their needs. Ben is a kind, patient, safe driver
Ahmed was a wonderfully kind driver for the day of exploring the Canadian-specific sites we wanted to see in Normandy off the cruise ship. We worked out our key stops ahead of time and had time for a wonderful lunch in Bayeux. It was an absolutely incredible day for us!
Ahmed was our driver. He claimed to be not very fluent in English, but we found it fairly easy to communicate with him. He was just a driver and not a tour guide so he took us to places that we want to just see. He gave us ample time at the locations, and we never felt rushed. we travel with a handicapped adult daughter, and he appear to recognize her limitations. Overall, he did a great job.
Our driver was very considerate and willing to stop where we requested. We stopped at a wonderful cathedral in Bayeux on our way to Omaha Beach. We saw Omaha Beach and it’s monuments and the American Cemetery where the bus tours went as well. But we also stopped at the Overlord Museum and another museum about Omaha Beach as well- did not see the tour buses there. Highly recommend visiting the museums. Unfortunately, we spent too much time in the museums, we didn’t have time to visit Utah Beach. Will have to save that for the next trip.
