Trasferimento in taxi a Civitavecchia

The driver was driving fast and a bit reckless. He was on the phone many times. Not too impressed. He had the radio on and it was bothering us.

Sadly, this was a significantly over-priced taxi ride. However, our driver was good. And after escalating our concerns to both Viator and their parent company, Tripadvisor, this was resolved satisfactorily.

Timely, good communication, and pleasant and courteous drivers. Would definitely use them next time in Rome. They were very helpful and responded to questions and emails promptly too.

We used Samarcanda Taxi for three wheelchair-accessible transfers during our trip to Italy: from Rome Fiumicino Airport to our hotel, from our hotel to the Port of Civitavecchia for our cruise, and from the port back to the airport. Every transfer was excellent. Booking was easy, and they were very responsive to my emails. Before each pickup, we received a message letting us know our driver was on the way along with an estimated arrival time. Every driver arrived on time (or even a little early), helped with our luggage, and made sure our son was safely secured in the wheelchair-accessible van before we left. Their prices were very reasonable for private accessible transportation, and they made traveling with a wheelchair much less stressful. We really appreciated how smooth and reliable everything was from the beginning of our trip to the very end. I highly recommend Samarcanda Taxi to anyone needing wheelchair-accessible transportation in Rome or transfers to and from the Port of Civitavecchia. We were so happy with the experience that we plan to use Samarcanda Taxi again on our next trip to Italy.

Fiumicino city > Civitavecchia I was a bit skeptical at first since I had paid in advance through their website, hoping that everything would go well. I was advised to use this company. Paying in advance allowed me to get a super competitive price (€130) compared to three other providers (€220-€250). I had made a mistake with the time, but a WhatsApp message to the company quickly rectified that (I speak Italian). The taxi was there on time, and the ride went very well to the cruise port terminal. Civitavecchia > Rome city Same procedure for the booking. Somewhat of a wait (15 min) with uncertainty about the driver's arrival and the meeting point (cruise terminal). That said, we had moved the pickup time forward by an hour via WhatsApp. Very accommodating. I still called the service just in case, and at that moment the taxi arrived with my name on its sign. Trip to Rome, perfect. Savings achieved compared to other providers: €130.

A total nightmare. Very difficult getting in touch with the company, no clear directions on where to meet, and the charge was double what it would have cost had we just booked a ride at the airport or from our hotel.
