Driver was ready for us as we arrived a little early. Meeting point was a 3 min walk. He got us to the airport quickly but was mad at the amount of luggage we had. In USA a carry on can be a small suitcase. He considered that a second suitcase and was very short with us. We all fit with plenty of room.

Fantastic meet and great experience!! What a way to enter Venice, in style. I felt like I was in a Bond movie!

The taxi arrived ahead of schedule. Assisted us with our bags. Overall it was a great last ride out of Venice.

I booked this trip to the airport several weeks in advance. On the reservation I specifically added my hotel as the pick up point. I specified that I wanted to leave between 6 AM and 6:30 AM to get to the airport in sufficient time for my 10 AM flight. The confirmation just confirmed the date and window between 4 AM and 8AM. It said I’d receive specific details closer to the date of my trip. When I hadn’t received specific details four days in advance I contacted customer care for Viator via their chat. I was told that I would definitely be picked up at my hotel. They confirmed the approximate time based on my flight and said that I’d receive an exact time the day prior to my trip. When I received the confirmation 23 hours prior to the trip it had a time of 6:25 (great) but the address was a 40 minute walk away from my hotel. I immediately contacted Viator customer service via their chat. I was told that they contacted the taxi service and that they’d meet me at the Rialto bridge. Still at least a 15 minute walk from my hotel over cobblestones and bridges. I informed the representative that I couldn’t do that with my luggage and reminded her that the previous rep had assured me we would be picked up at our hotel. This was at 7:00 AM - I asked them to ask again about pick up at my hotel (where I was dropped off so knew it could be done) and was told that the taxi service wasn’t open until 8:30 AM. Rather suspect since they’d just said moments prior that they’d spoken to the taxi service. They said they’d call them right at 8:30 and email me confirming that I’d be picked up at my hotel. They didn’t reach back out. At 9 AM I emailed them. They replied at 9:15 saying the taxi company was only authorized at 6 stops and my hotel wasn’t available. I let the customer service rep know that’d I would need a refund. Viator told me that the carrier wouldn’t refund the ticket price because it was within 24 hours. The only reason I hadn’t canceled before the 24 hour cut off is because I was repeatedly reassured by Viator reps that I would be picked up at my hotel. I booked a different water taxi service that would pick me up at my hotel (if you’ve ever tried to roll suitcases over cobblestone and bridges you’d understand why it wasn’t possible for me to walk 15 minutes to Rialto bridge. It is also current on red air quality here in Venice and yesterday the high was in the 90s with 85% humidity. Even more reason it wasn’t possible for myself and my kids to drag three suitcases and carryons over stone streets and several bridges with stairs to the assigned pickup spot). It cost me 40 euros more for the second water taxi because I booked the day prior and the only time available was 5:00AM. I’m now sitting in the airport for 4.5 hours before the flight and cannot check in for another 2 hours. This is incredibly frustrating. We hardly got any sleep for fear of missing the earlier water taxi. I’ve used Viator many times. If I hadn’t asked the question until the day before I’d chalk it up to my own error but in this case I asked the question at least 3 times in writing and was assured that I would be picked up at my hotel. Viator is now not replying to my emails. I let them know yesterday that if I didn’t receive confirmation that the price would be refunded I would have no choice to complain online. Please be sure to only make reservations directly with a water taxi company. Do not use Viator for this service. They are inaccurate and blatantly lied to me (they even had me confirm which hotel I was staying at before reassuring me that I’d be picked up there ). They are now refusing to issue a refund. It is completely unacceptable.

I had difficulty printing up the tickets and not knowing the language, I really should have been more prepared. I thought it was hotel pick up, but it was taxi stand near the hotel pick up. I would recommend waiting to book, and simply asking your hotel front desk person what time and where to be at a place. I didn't need to spend as much as I did.

Easy. Perfectly on time. Our Captain was great, hospitable, and made our journey to the airport memorable. Pick up location was super easy and was coordinated with our hotel that made sure we knew where to wait. Would absolutely do it again, saved huge money and got the ultimate experience.

Initially I thought the transportation to the airport involved a shared water taxi that dropped you off at the mainland where you got on a bus that took you to the airport Confusing when the ticket was received showing a meeting place that when I mapped it, it showed a 26 min walk from our hotel The day before our flight Viator provided us (via our hotel) with a paper ticket to use for a shared water taxi that was 5 mins from our hotel and which took us all the way to the airport It was quite a bumpy ride
