Itinerario
Una volta prelevati dal luogo prescelto verso le 7:00 del mattino, vi trasferiamo al TranzAlpine per uno dei viaggi in treno più panoramici del mondo. Godetevi panorami alpini mozzafiato dalle finestre panoramiche o dalla carrozza all'aperto. La tua Guida ti incontrerà alla stazione di Arthur's Pass per iniziare il tuo tour in montagna.
Mentre ti godi il viaggio in treno, la tua Guida viaggia avanti per incontrarti proprio sulla banchina della stazione di Arthur's Pass. Da lì, guideremo fino al belvedere del Viadotto di Otira per una vista spettacolare, inclusi i vivaci fiori rossi di Rata durante l'estate. Tieni d'occhio il sfacciato Kea, il curioso pappagallo alpino della Nuova Zelanda! La nostra esplorazione delle montagne continua con una visita alla splendida cascata di Avalanche Creek e diverse altre attrazioni panoramiche all'interno del Parco Nazionale.

Il nostro viaggio di ritorno a Christchurch prende un percorso diverso su strada, offrendo scenari che i binari del treno non raggiungono. La nostra prima tappa è il sereno Lago Pearson. Questo lago di alta campagna è famoso per i suoi riflessi vetrosi e specchianti delle montagne circostanti: il sogno di un fotografo e un luogo perfetto per una tranquilla pausa pomeridiana.
Fermati a Flock Hill: scopri la splendida location delle riprese di 'Narnia'. Questo sito è stato descritto in Disney's Il leone, la strega e l'armadio come il campo di battaglia principale, un ambiente spettacolare circondato dalla bellezza aspra della Craigieburn Valley.
La nostra ultima attrazione : Vivete il "Tesoro da lontano" a Kura Tāwhiti. Per gli Ngāi Tahu iwi, quest'area detiene lo status di Tōpuni, un mantello simbolico di protezione sui suoi valori sacri. Mentre percorri il sentiero di facile accesso, cerca tracce di disegni a carboncino vecchi di 500 anni e scopri come queste rocce si sono formate 30 milioni di anni fa, quando la Nuova Zelanda era ancora sotto un mare interno poco profondo.

Fantastic from start to finish. Great guide who explained everything clearly and thoroughly. Options for hiking, dining walking, sightseeing. Amazing views from the train and bus, and all transport very comfortable. No bathroom on bus, but plenty of stops so not an issue. Two thumbs up!

We would certainly recommend this tour. It started with us being picked up from our hotel on time and taken to the train station. The train journey lived up to our expectations - sat back, engaged with other tourists & enjoyed the beautiful scenery. Our guide met us as we exited the train at Arthurs Pass & he ensured everyone was looked after for the rest of the tour, providing umbrellas & ponchos to help us keep dry. He was great! Very knowledgeable and managed everything at the right pace.

I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Our guide, whose name I didn’t get, did a wonderful job taking us around Arthur’s Pass and Castle Hill and providing information on the area. The bus was delayed picking up the group in Arthur’s Pass after the train ride, but the company did a great job with keeping the group updated as to when our guide would arrive. The hike up to the Devil’s Punchbowl Falls was worth it, and the loop at Castle Hill was great as well. I would recommend this tour.
