What a magnificent moment shared with Fatima. We chose to cook a (a?) Rfissa and it is a choice that is apparently rare but worth it for this type of activity because there are several techniques to learn like the msemen (in addition to having made her husband happy, who loves this dish haha). This was a truly lovely experience to cook a superb delicious vegetable tagine and Moroccan soup in Fatimas apartmemt. Excellent value for money, we were welcomed as part of Fatimas family and ate with her and her family. The whole cooking experience and market shopping for ingredients took about 5 hours. Absolutely loved this experience, thank you Fatima for teaching me how to tagine, I loved it

Easy and precise appointment with Fatima, choice of meal. Then head to the local market where you buy meat, vegetables, spices... Preparation of the meal as a team, followed by tasting. Cooking with Fatima was super. Buying foods in the market to preparing the dishes and chatting with her and her husband over lunch was a special time.

We booked this as a private cooking class for 3 reasons. One market tour, second how to make tagines & third to learn about Moroccon food. So first of all this was not a private tour we joined 7 other people so in all we were 10 people. Our fellow tourist were really nice & it was fun talking food to them but it was not what we expected. Secondly the market tour was a 5 min walk thru where we followed Fatima thru the market seeing her buy ingredients. There was no information or interaction of any kind to help us experience the market / shops. Since I was interested I asked questions & got answers. Thirdly we cooked a chicken tagine and a fish one where we helped cut vegetables and saw the tagines being cooked. It took a long while to cook so we had to rush out after 3.5 hrs and missed the tea. The chicken tasted nice but was dry and over cooked. The sardine tagine tasted fine. Both seemed fairly basic with meat & veg. There was no other information about Moroccon food. The afternoon was nice and good for people who want to spend a pleasant time in a locals house eating their food as Fatima & her husband were really nice people. But this is not a class for those with serious food / cooking interest.
