Pey Berland è una piazza storica situata nel cuore di Bordeaux. Questa vivace piazza, che prende il nome dalla Torre Pey Berland, offre un mix di bellezza architettonica, significato culturale ed energia vibrante. In questa piazza parleremo del campanile, della Cattedrale di Sant'Andrea e dei famosi matrimoni che qui si sono svolti. Qui, vicino alla cattedrale, proveremo i migliori cannelés della città
Cattedrale di Saint-André, un capolavoro architettonico e situato proprio nel centro di Bordeaux. Non solo rappresenta un faro di fede, ma riveste anche un significato lungo lo storico percorso di pellegrinaggio del Camino de Santiago. Inoltre, è anche il luogo in cui hanno avuto luogo alcuni dei matrimoni più iconici del Medioevo.
Inizialmente costruito tra il 1771 e il 1784, l'edificio fungeva da palazzo arcivescovile di Bordeaux. Attualmente, conserva la sua importanza come centro amministrativo della città e luogo di rilievo per incontri e cerimonie ufficiali.
Rue des Remparts a Bordeaux, in Francia, è un'affascinante strada ricca di storia e fiancheggiata da splendidi edifici e piccoli negozi di artigianato. Tradotto letteralmente in "Via dei Bastioni", evoca il passato medievale della città, un tempo delimitata da mura protettive. Questa porta ad arco si trova nel punto di ingresso storico alla città, risalente a tempi antichi, compresa l'epoca romana. Le prove suggeriscono che questo luogo un tempo ospitava un tempio in onore della divinità Giove. Altri sostengono che costituisse la barriera tra la storica città di Bordeaux e il quartiere ebraico. Oggi è uno dei monumenti più iconici della città, sicuramente da vedere.
Situato nel cuore del triangolo d'oro di Bordeaux, questo Grands Hommes mette in mostra un'architettura raffinata, negozi esclusivi, luoghi culturali e alcuni dei migliori ristoranti della città. An absolutely wonderful experience. Alexandra was a terrific tour guide. She blended historical information about Bordeaux with the food and wine we tasted. It was a great sampling of the food in Bordeaux, and the charcuterie she put together for the wine tasting was superb. We all enjoyed the tour tremendously and recommend it very highly.
If you love good food, good wine, history and being in good company the this tour is for you. Our guide Alexandra (who runs The Bordeaux Foodie) was informative, friendly, professional and funny. An absolute blast! Alexandra told us all about the history of the foods we were eating and connected historical figures to the foods. She was so knowledgeable it was the best food tour we’ve ever done! 12 out of 10 recommend!

Fabulous tour! Alex is aptly named the Bordeaux Foodie and conveys a real passion for the city and its gourmet offerings, along with interesting and amusing anecdotes linking the food to the city’s history. Fantastic introduction to local sweet treats and a local beekeeper’s shop devoted to an astonishing range of delicious honeys … heaven! Plus, of course, shops dedicated to cheeses, meats and chocolate, where selections were made for our lunch, according to our tastes. Finally, Alex prepared a delicious platter of these while we were introduced to Bordeaux wines in a local cave and then we munched our way through the guided pairings with a couple of glasses of wine. Delicious! A very pleasurable morning; great food, interesting chat (and no up-selling) and to be thoroughly recommended! Thank you Alex!

Amazing tour of Bordeaux filled with delights! It’s rare to have an excursion tailored with such thoughtfulness, and the special touches did not go amiss. Alexandra was brilliant at introducing us to each stop in a fun and informative way. It felt like a natural family day out! This was the only tour we could find that my 8 month old nephew could join too! The treats were delicious and the order of them was perfect. We could 100% recommend!!
