Questa ex piantagione era una volta la tenuta coloniale di Noble Jones, un falegname che venne a Savannah nel 1733 con James Oglethorpe. Questa tenuta rimase di proprietà della famiglia fino a quando non fu acquistata dallo stato per l'uso come sito storico nel 1973

Situato sull'isola di Cockspur, Fort Pulaski è uno dei forti meglio conservati della guerra civile. Scopri l'assedio di Fort Pulaski nel 1862 e la tecnologia militare dell'Unione che ha costretto la resa confederata e ha chiuso il porto di Savannah.
La Tybee Island è stata di importanza strategica per la Georgia sin dall'inizio del XVIII secolo, il che ha reso la punta settentrionale dell'isola una posizione ideale per un faro. Il faro fu costruito per la prima volta nel 1736 e all'epoca era la struttura più alta (90 piedi) in America.

Great history, great sights, great guide. Good oversight of the historic events as well as current day Savannah and surrounding islands.
Andy was absolutely wonderful! We loved our VIP tour of Savannah so much! It was the highlight of our trip. His knowledge was incredible and extensive! Andy was so kind and easy to be around too. 10/10

We would give this 10 stars if able! Our tour guide, Andy, was amazing. He is extremely knowledgeable, engaging, entertaining and a natural story teller. He shared information, stories, historical trivia and tidbits throughout. And, took us to a lovely place for lunch - we enjoyed that time just visiting. This tour was well worth the price and the time as it gave us such a terrific overview of the Savannah districts along with the coastal islands and Fort Pulaski. Without the tour we would have not seen as much nor learned as much! If we return to Savannah, we will book any private tours with this company. Laura C
Andy was a friendly and knowledgeable tour guide with a clean and comfortable vehicle. My husband and I had been to Savannah several times before, but we learned so many new things and saw incredible sights in the surrounding areas. Highly recommended.

We thoroughly enjoyed our VIP Tour of Savannah. Our tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed spending the day with him and learning about Savannah and its history. The tour agenda was flexible and allowed us to spend more time at some locations based on our interests. If you are going to take this tour, I highly recommend doing it on your first day in Savannah. This will give you a great overview of the city and its history. After that, you can plan which locations you want to spend more time visiting while in Savannah.
Our tour guide, Andy, was informative, professional and fun. The tour is a great way to see the Savannah historic district and so much more of the surrounding area all in one tour. The Bonaventure Cemetery was very interesting. It was my first time seeing a castle style Fort and the restoration is amazing. Overall it was a fantastic to see so much of Savannah in one packed tour.
We had the most wonderful private tour with Janine. She was so informative and made the tour very special for our family. She paid extra attention to our elderly mother which was truly appreciated. I would gladly recommend this tour to others.
