La famosa Grande Piramide di Khufu è di gran lunga la più grande, più alta e più intatta piramide in Egitto. Dopo la sua costruzione, divenne una delle “Sette Meraviglie del Mondo Antico”, e oggi, è l’unica di esse rimasta. Per un periodo di 4300 anni, la piramide fu anche l'edificio più alto della terra, fino a quando i francesi costruirono la Torre Eiffel nel 1889. La Piramide di Khufu è costruita interamente in pietra calcarea ed è considerata un capolavoro architettonico. Contiene circa 1.300.000 blocchi che variano in peso da 2,5 tonnellate a 15 tonnellate. La sua base quadrata copre 13 acri, e i suoi lati misurano circa 230m (755ft). I suoi quattro lati affrontano con precisione i quattro punti cardinali e ha un angolo di 52 gradi
La Piramide di Khafre, o 2a Piramide, è facilmente riconoscibile dagli strati delle sue pietre di involucro originali che rimangono ancora vicino alla sua sommità e questo, insieme al fatto che in realtà si trova su una parte più alta dell'altopiano, dà l'impressione che sia più alta della Grande Piramide. Un'illusione ottica, in quanto è alto solo 136 metri, con lati di 214,5 metri, una superficie di 11 acri e un angolo di 53 gradi. Ha anche perso parte della sua altezza originale nel corso degli anni, una volta era alto 143,5 m.
Il figlio di Khafre, Menkaure, costruì la più piccola delle 3 piramidi principali sull'altopiano di Giza. Questo era alto solo 65,5 m, oggi 62 m, con lati di 105 m e un angolo di 51,3 gradi. Si pensa che questa piramide sia stata alterata durante la sua costruzione, e resa molto più grande di quanto originariamente previsto. La piramide originale, più piccola, aveva un semplice corridoio discendente e una camera sepolcrale, ma quando è stata ampliata, è stato costruito un nuovo corridoio con 3 oblò e una piccola camera rivestita di pannelli. Più tardi ancora, un'altra camera sepolcrale, insieme a un ripostiglio sono stati aggiunti a un livello inferiore. Questa piramide, come i suoi 2 vicini, ha un nord rivolto verso l'ingresso.
La Grande Sfinge, o come la conoscevano gli antichi, “Shesep Ankh” o “l’immagine vivente”, deve essere una delle costruzioni più riconoscibili della storia. Pensate alla Sfinge e automaticamente pensate all’Egitto e all’Altopiano di Giza. Scolpito in arenaria morbida, molti credono che sarebbe scomparso molto tempo fa se non fosse stato sepolto nella sabbia per così tanti lunghi periodi nella sua vita. Il corpo è lungo 60m e alto 20m. Il suo viso è largo 4m (13ft) con occhi che misurano 2m (6ft) di altezza. Si affaccia sul sole nascente ed era così venerato dagli antichi, che vi costruirono un tempio.

- Everything felt scammy, with pushy upselling and constant pressure to agree to additional overpriced add-ons. - The tour offers an early 6 am start, but as soon as I had paid and reached the 24-hour non-cancellation period, the guide tried to change my start time without approval. - I was charged an additional $375. When I asked why, I was told to "reach out to Viator." I politely asked him to fix his own mistake. He was able to reverse the $375 charge, but then I was hit with another $125 charge for “rebooking” the tour. So a $125 tour that I never took ended up costing me $250. I still have not received a refund. - I asked to cancel, but he refused. I was then harassed with 50+ WhatsApp messages and nonstop calls. - He never showed up to give the tour, and I had to find another tour operator on the day of. - I expect his response to this review to claim none of this happened and that I'm somehow at fault. Judge for yourself. I have asked repeatedly for a refund for a service that was never delivered and have received nothing. If you want to roll the dice with this guide, go for it. Just know that you are rolling the dice, and you might lose.

Ahmed and his driver are great people. They arrived on time and complied with everything the tour offers and more, he personally suggests spots and locals shops for you to visit, not at random, they are prepared to recieve you with the best egyptian hospitality. We didnt know wether to go or not at first, but we gave it a shot and was worth the while. I recommend the sensitive oils and scents for aeromatherapy, we didnt buy anything but the explanation and “perfomance show” made us feel as though we HAD to tip them. They were flexible also with our drop off, we wanted to go to the Grand Museum afterwards instead of back to the hotel, and they didnt have a problem. Surely i recommend them both!

Karim was a very knowledgeable and friendly guide. Driver was also safe and friendly, On the tour, you are taken to a few stops before heading to the pyramids. They did have neat items and thoughtful service, but you should be prepared. Seeing pyramids with a guide made it a lot easier. Appreciated having the help with where to go, who to avoid, the history. ATVs allow for some cool pictures. . Overall, recommend this tour guide.

From the very beginning, this experience was elevated by our amazing guide, Ahmed. He was engaging, knowledgeable, and shared Egypt's rich history and fascinating facts with genuine passion. Our pickup driver was also incredibly kind, understanding when we were running a little late, and attentive throughout the day. The itinerary was varied and exciting, allowing us to experience Egyptian culture, explore the pyramids, learn about history and art, and take in the breathtaking scenery. We even had the opportunity to go inside a pyramid, which was a memorable experience. However, the highlight of the day was undoubtedly the quad biking. The excitement, adrenaline, and sense of freedom as we raced through the desert, weaving through paths and dunes while sand flew into the air around us, was absolutely incredible. It was thrilling, fun, and unforgettable. As a honeymoon experience, it made our trip even more special. We shared so many laughs, exciting moments, and new adventures together.
