Excellent tour, we were at Vicente Fernández's Hacienda and his store, then we went to a tequila and liqueur tasting at Casa Calera, they took us to have lunch at Arcas restaurant on the shore of Lake Chapala, upon finishing we took a boat ride on the lake, from there to the very picturesque town of Ajijic, and we finished with the town of Chapala, thanks to the guide Javi with his energy and good service we had a great time
The experience was good, we were late leaving and perhaps we lacked some explanation of the places Even so, the guide was very good and the places were fine
Anyone who would like to go for a walk somewhere else and loves to shop, e.g., for souvenirs, is in the right place here. Anyone who expects in-depth information or a guided tour through Ajijic or Chapala expects too much. Unfortunately, we had the wrong expectations.
Javier is the absolute best and we loved this trip! He is a great driver, has a wonderful sense of humor, and helped make the trip so much fun! The only thing we didn't care for was the restaurant where we stopped for lunch and do suggest they find a new one. I highly recommend this trip, it is a fun-filled day!!
We couldn't get into the Rancho de los Tres Potrillos :( The restaurant they took us to didn't have good flavor and is expensive, besides the fact that they leave you there for a long time, time that could be used to explore the place more calmly or do other activities. The lake is beautiful, walking along the boardwalk is very nice but they left us between 50 and 40 minutes, honestly it is not enough time to get to know the sites. Despite that, the guide is very attentive, kind, and has a great attitude.
Such a fun and scenic experience. Our guide, Javi, knows his stuff. He shared great insights of the locations visited and offered to assist finding anything we desired. The trip is concentrated about an hour from the city center and the ride can be a bit bumpy, but well worth it. The towns were relaxing and beautiful to wander around in. I traveled solo and wanted to join a small group of others and this was a great option. Overall there were two couples and two solo travelers. If you want a day trip to escape the city, this is your best bet. Drink lots of tequila and ask lots of questions. Guaranteed good time! Total time was 10:30-7pm take-off to return.
Full of color, and sights to see. The atmosphere was filled with culture Papantla flying me.
What an amazing tour for an unbeatable price. Javis was one of the best tour guides Ive had in a while. I highly recommend.
The tequila tasting was held in a run down property. That place needs to be cleaned up. I recommend paying a little more for a better quality tequila tasting.
Had a great time. For once a tour didn’t start super early. I will say bring some pesos with you Forsure. There were lots of fun little knick knacks to pick up. We were out until 7:30pm which was my fault I was late to get back to the bus at the end. I will say I was mystified by the lake towards the end though. The floating plants and the life just felt like a whole other world. Had a great time! Gracias Javi!
