Sono Zura, e offro un'escursione di un'intera giornata ad alcune delle meraviglie più iconiche della Georgia, partendo da Tbilisi. Ci incontreremo al vostro hotel alle 9:00, e inizieremo con una visita al Monastero di Jvari, un importante centro religioso e capolavoro architettonico della Georgia medievale. La chiesa domina il sito di Mtskheta, patrimonio mondiale dell'UNESCO. Proseguiamo per la Cattedrale di Svetitskhoveli, sito di sepoltura della veste di Cristo. A Gori, città natale di Iosif Stalin, visitiamo l'imponente museo del Leader storicamente significativo dell'Unione Sovietica. Pranzo dopo (non incluso). Ci dirigiamo poi verso Uplistsikhe, un’antica città rupestre, uno dei più antichi insediamenti urbani della Georgia. Il nome di questo monastero è tradotto come "Monastero della Croce". Il monastero di Jvari è il monastero georgiano ortodosso del VI secolo vicino a Mtskheta. Insieme ad altre strutture storiche di Mtskheta, è elencato come sito patrimonio dell'umanità dall'UNESCO. Il monastero di Jvari sorge sulla cima di una montagna rocciosa alla confluenza dei fiumi Mtkvari e Aragvi, che domina la città di Mtskheta, che in passato era la capitale del regno di Iberia.

We decided to book this Tour to explore a bit more of the history and culture outside of Tiblisi. Zura was an excellent guide, we felt at ease with him from start to finish and we left the tour with a much better understanding and feel for the people, history and culture. Everything was on time, communication was great, car comfortable. Would highly reccomend you book this tour, you won't regret it and the context made the rest of our time in Tiblisi more enjoyable. I took my wife and kids to Georgia for a long weekend and we only had time for one guided tour. I'm glad I chose this one. We really got to see a lot of the attractions around Tbilisi. The visit to the Chronicles at the end of the day was amazing, as we had the sunset there. Zura is not just a guide and driver, he is a compassionate and thoughtful man with a great sense of humour. We had a lot of fun together and I hope to see him again one day. The Georgian driving style is a little different than what we are used to, but Zura navigated and drove in a manner that made us feel safe even though the other drivers don't really seem to follow any rules. Overall, it was a great day for both us parents and our teenagers.

Zura is a great guide with a lot of knowledge, but also charisma. He made the trip a lot more fun than what I can imagine most guides do. He is also a very safe and smart driver, especially compared to the average Georgian driver, which have a quite different driving style than what we are used to from Europe. Zura made sure we always felt safe on the road, and I highly recommend his service
