Il nostro viaggio storico inizia da Piazza degli Eroi, uno dei luoghi più iconici di Budapest, dove meravigliose statue commemorano le più grandi figure della storia ungherese. Conosciamo le radici degli ungheresi!
Facciamo una piacevole passeggiata nel City Park, uno dei primi parchi pubblici al mondo aperti alle persone per motivi di relax. Questo bellissimo parco offre molte opportunità turistiche come il glorioso Castello Vajdahunyad, che incarna 1000 anni di architettura ungherese. Ovviamente diamo uno sguardo all'interno.
Durante la nostra passeggiata nel parco cittadino vedremo il famoso bagno Széchenyi e parleremo della cultura del bagno poiché l'Ungheria è uno dei paesi più ricchi di acqua termale.
Attraversiamo Andrássy Avenue, gli Champs-Élysées di Budapest, fiancheggiati da spettacolari palazzi e case a schiera neorinascimentali; boutique di fascia alta; ristoranti e caffè alla moda.
Visitiamo l'edificio più bello di Andrássy Avenue, il famoso Teatro dell'Opera ungherese con una storia interessante.
Visitiamo la più grande chiesa di Budapest dedicata al primo re d'Ungheria, ospita una reliquia essenziale della storia ungherese - la Sacra Mano Destra, - la mano mummificata di Santo Stefano.
Dopo aver visitato la Basilica di Santo Stefano attraversando Piazza della Libertà con i suoi monumenti molto interessanti raggiungi il Parlamento ungherese, il più bel palazzo del Parlamento del mondo; raccontando la vita politica del Paese in diversi periodi: dalla dittatura, al comunismo, alla democrazia.
Continuiamo il tour nel castello medievale di Buda, il luogo di residenza dei re ungheresi del XIV. secolo, attraversando il famoso storico Ponte delle Catene.

Our guide Gyorgy was fantastic. He did a wonderful job of showing us all around the city by subway, bus and tram. We saw so much and learned so much about the history of Hungary and Budapest. He kept everything interesting and kept us engaged. Not only did he show us around and answer all our questions, he made great recommendations based on our interests, time available and location. We did this as a private tour and I would recommend this to anyone with an interest in learning about Budapest and Hungary.
We really enjoyed this tour. Our guide, György Rashad Salamon, was super friendly and professional. The program was well customized to meet our needs and took us to amazing places and showed us how to get around the city by train and bus, which we really enjoyed. He is also very fluent in English, so you will not have any communication issues. He is very knowledgeable, which makes travelling with him a pleasant experience. We strongly recommend this tour for anyone coming to Budapest.
I was traveling to Budapest solo for a few days and was in search of a tour that would accommodate 1 person (most tours require a minimum of 2 – 4 people). The tour offered by George Rashad met my needs as far as solo traveler and touching most of the highlights in the historical city of Budapest. George arrived at the hotel a few minutes early and after brief introductions, we were off on our tour. He is very knowledgeable and passionate about the history of the country, city and sharing the culture of the area. We got to visit most of the main historical sites and attractions between walking and using public transportation (this was a big benefit as it allowed me to familiarize myself with the public transportation system). The way George shares historical facts and information is very engaging (I have been on tours where it is monotone and disengaging so I very much appreciated his interactive style). HE is also very flexible and will easily adjust the tour to include different aspects. If you’re planning to visit Budapest and want to get a great overview of the country and city’s history and culture while seeing the main attractions of the historical city, I would highly recommend that you book a tour with George, whether you’re in a small group or solo.
