Si tratta di un gruppo conservato di strutture Hohokam risalenti al periodo classico (1150-1450). Casa Grande in spagnolo significa grande casa. Casa Grande è stata inserita nel registro nazionale dei luoghi storici il 15 ottobre 1966. Padre Kino è stato il primo europeo a visitare il complesso Hohokam nel novembre 1694 e lo ha chiamato Casa Grande.
Ci fermeremo qui per le foto e per vedere questo imponente punto nel deserto tra Phoenix e Tucson. Questo era il luogo della battaglia più a ovest della guerra civile conosciuta come la battaglia del Passo Picacho.
Questa famosa chiesa ha una lunga storia e la sua architettura decorata è assolutamente da vedere. Questa chiesa si trova appena a sud di Tucson. La Missione è stata creata per servire i bisogni della comunità locale, il villaggio di Wa: k (Distretto di San Xavier) nella riserva di Tohono O'odham, come fa ancora oggi. Todd was a fantastic tour guide! We met at a location that was convenient for us which helped. The sites were beautiful and Todd did a great job giving us the history and details of each stop. He also suggested other places we should see while in the area. He was very patient while we visited the sites and never felt rushed. You can tell he really enjoys the history of Arizona and loves to share his knowledge.. highly recommend Todd.
Todd was the best! He met us at a preferred location that was convenient for us to start tour. The sites we visited were beautiful and full of history. Todd shared his knowledge with us and also other facts and history of the area.. he also recommended other areas of interest and historical sites to visit. Our tour guide Todd was wonderful. He explained so much of the history of Southern Arizona. He took us to beautiful historical places. He was kind knowledgeable and a very safe driver.

My wife and I took the tour to Tombstone with Historic Arizona Tours and loved it! Our host Todd was extremely pleasant, a great driver, and extremely knowledgeable on Arizona History. We were able to see the important sites at Tombstone, Todd was able to provide additional background information on the sites and the history of the events that took place in Tombstone. He recommended which sites to visit and which ones to avoid. We had a wonderful time and are already planning on taking additional tours through Historic Arizona Tours when we visit Phoenix again. We want to take some of the tours they offer in the Flagstaff area.
