Itinerario
Come in ogni buona storia, tutto inizia con un'introduzione. Non è facile raccontare la storia di una delle città storicamente più ricche del mondo. Tuttavia, puntiamo a dare ai nostri ospiti una prospettiva più ampia. Ecco perché, all'inizio del tour, offriamo una breve lezione sulla creazione della civiltà umana, e poi collochiamo l'antica civiltà greca – e Atene in particolare – all'interno di quel quadro, in modo che le persone possano davvero comprenderne l'importanza e il contributo.
Il primo monumento che vedremo salendo verso l’Acropoli è il Teatro di Dioniso, il primo teatro della storia dell’umanità. È qui che nacquero il teatro e il dramma come pratica, e dove le prime commedie — tragedie e commedie — furono rappresentate davanti al pubblico ateniese. Queste opere furono scritte da alcuni dei più famosi scrittori di tutti i tempi, tra cui Sofocle, Euripide ed Eschilo.
La nostra prossima tappa sarà l'Odeon di Erode Attico, che fu costruito dal benefattore della città e famoso filosofo del II secolo d.C. in memoria della moglie defunta.
Arrivando all’ingresso principale del santuario dell’Acropoli, vedremo il Tempio di Atena Nike, dedicato alla dea della vittoria.
Successivamente, ammireremo la vista delle colline circostanti storicamente importanti, e saliremo la scala principale che conduce all'interno del santuario, il tutto ammirando la porta monumentale dell'Acropoli.
La nostra penultima tappa sarà l'Erechtheion, il tempio dei miti e delle leggende, situato al centro del santuario dell'Acropoli e famoso per le sue sculture uniche.
Alla fine, ammireremo finalmente 'il gioiello della corona': il Partenone. Regalo alla dea protettrice di Atene, è il capolavoro dell'architettura greca antica del periodo classico e la più grande conquista tecnica dello stato democratico - il simbolo della civiltà occidentale.
Dopo aver analizzato l'Acropoli, faremo una breve pausa per le foto di 20 minuti. Dopodiché, usciremo dal sito archeologico dell’Acropoli e visiteremo il colle Areopago dove avremo l’epilogo del tour con la vista dell’antica Agorà ateniese.

Our guide, Harris/Haralamoos, had multiple graduate degrees and was hands down the most knowledgeable guide I’ve ever had. He made it fun also by having some of us guess answers and giving candies for rewards. Harris/Haralampos was the most knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate tour guide I’ve ever had. He was so kind and enthusiastic about everything he spoke of, and left no stone unturned when explaining about the history of the Acropolis and the the various civilizations that influenced the architecture, history and culture in Athens and beyond. You can tell Harris is not only extremely wise but truly loves what he does. Anyone would be lucky to have him as a guide. 10/10 would go back.
If you want the history of the Acropolis with a very passionate tour guide, this is the tour for you. He should be a History professor. If you want just a quick and easy tour this is not the tour for you. Be ready to learn a lot.
Our visit to the Acropolis was one of the highlights of our trip, and Harris made the experience exceptional. His knowledge of Greek history and mythology was outstanding, and he shared it in such an engaging and easy-to-understand way. Harris was friendly, enthusiastic, and happy to answer all of our questions. You can tell he is so passionate about the history which we loved. If you learn best by walking the same grounds as remarkable figures during significant moments in history and want to understand the social, political and religious influences of that time, this tour fulfilled it. Harris was thorough and engaging and found ways to link us all to the past. He had impactful words of empowerment as well. He kindly and patiently took photos of groups at highlight areas and gives a generous amount of time. Our tour was over 3 hours. So let him know ahead of time if you need to leave at a certain time. We were grateful for this unique experience!

This is a very detailed and informative tour, our guide Haralanpos was very knowledgeable about history and we had lots of philosophical discussions on the way around. It is quite a long tour which may not suit everyone but great fir history buffs
