Dall'esterno, questo gioiello gotico colpisce per la sua torre di 142 metri (per secoli è stata la più alta del mondo). La facciata è ricoperta di sculture che raccontano storie bibliche e il rosone centrale è un'esplosione di colori e geometrie. L'arenaria rosa cambia colore a seconda della luce del giorno. Un capolavoro con vista sul centro storico!
Proprio di fronte alla cattedrale, questa casa del XV secolo si distingue per l'architettura a graticcio e la ricchezza delle decorazioni: sculture in legno intagliato, vetrate e alti soffitti a punta. È una delle case medievali meglio conservate della città e un magnifico esempio del Rinascimento tedesco.
Un maestoso edificio classicista del XVIII secolo, un tempo residenza dei principi vescovi. La sua facciata simmetrica, elegante e sobria contrasta con la ricchezza gotica della cattedrale. Dall'esterno, i dettagli in pietra scolpita e le grandi finestre riflettono il passato aristocratico di Strasburgo.
Una piccola piazza acciottolata che costeggia il fiume Ill, circondata da edifici storici dai colori pastello. Da qui si ha una vista privilegiata sul Palazzo Rohan e sulle imbarcazioni turistiche che attraversano i canali.
Un'imponente struttura difensiva del XVII secolo. Dall'esterno si presenta come una diga ad archi che permette il passaggio dell'acqua e l'allagamento controllato. Si può salire sulla sua terrazza per godere di una vista spettacolare sulla Petite France e sulle torri dei ponti coperti.

Very pleasant guide and good information
Our guide, Leila, led us through Strasbourg with infectious energy and enthusiasm (despite it being a very cold April morning). She shared the city’s history with interesting detail, including: The impressive Strasbourg cathedral; the city's history and architecture; the timber-framed houses and the canals. It was a thoroughly enjoyable tour. Recommended!

Excellent guidance in every way
Great high level overview. I wish we would have had more time to go inside the buildings but good overview to determine what you would like to go and spend more time exploring. Our guide was super friendly, knowledgeable and English was very good. She provided a lot of helpful general information as well as history. Highly recommend and great for solo travelers.
We booked Strasbourg Historic Two-Hour Walking Tour with Local Guide tour specifically as an English-speaking tour from Tripadvisor. We travelled by train from Basel, Switzerland, to Strasbourg, France—a significant investment of time and money. When we were already on the train, we received a message from the guide stating there was "no English tour." We immediately informed him we did not speak Spanish. His solution was not to accommodate but to simply cancel. He then insisted we cancel the booking on our end. The real failure is that Tripadvisor refused the cancellation because the guide would not approve it from his side, leaving us in a bureaucratic nightmare. We are now out the cost of the tour and our non-refundable train fares. This is beyond unprofessional. It is a bait-and-switch on the language, followed by a cowardly cancellation that left us stranded in another country after a 2-hour journey, and a complete abdication of responsibility in resolving the issue. Do not trust this operator. They do not honor their listings, communicate proactively, or take accountability for ruining a planned trip. Save your money and book with a reputable company.
A perfect introduction to Strasbourg. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour with Stef learning about some of the history of Strasbourg and also getting tips on what to see during our stay. Stef was excellent not only knowing her history but she was extremely personable and fun. I would recommend the tour to anyone but if you get Stef it would be an added bonus!
Stefania is extremely knowledgeable and had a good presentational style. She has a lovely personality and endears herself to her guests. She was particularly impressive in remembering the names of everyone in the group after just a quick introduction. Her combination of history degree and local knowledge made her the ideal guide.
We did the free tour with Javier, and we loved his spicy humor and in-depth knowledge. A crack!! Super recommended!!
