Itinerario

A totally recommended experience. I want to especially thank Sebastián and René for the excellent service and the good disposition they showed during the entire tour. They had the great gesture of waiting for me a few minutes at the beginning because I wasn't ready on time, which I valued very much. During the entire trip they were super attentive to every detail, always kind and with the best attitude. In addition, they took care of taking photos of the entire route, so we were able to enjoy the scenery peacefully without worrying about anything. If you visit the Cajón del Maipo, I undoubtedly recommend you take the excursion with them. Thank you very much for everything!
The tank is beautiful: 5 stars The guide Ismael: terrible. He did not follow the journey on the climb of the reservoir like the other guides, I did not know how far it was safe to go and finally, I did not take advantage of the whole place. In the description was that it was already lunch to take snack for the picnic, we did the picnic and then there was a stop then for lunch )that 1h became 1h30) I had the hope to see more locations and did not see, because the tour itself is half a day, in addition I had to wait for the staff to lunch. So, 1h30 in the tank in the morning and the afternoon period missed.
I strongly recommend avoiding this tour operator. Our tour started ONE HOUR LATE, and what made it worse was that the operator did not even bother to give us a heads-up until after they were already late. That alone is unacceptable when customers are planning an entire day around a supposedly organized 10-hour tour. Even worse, the tour operator LIED to me about the reason for the delay. This was not a misunderstanding or a communication issue—the explanation I was given was directly contradicted and verified as false by the tour guide. That is the most disturbing part of the entire experience. Delays happen. Problems happen. But deliberately lying to customers is completely unethical and destroys any trust in the company. To be clear, our actual tour guide was great and did the best they could. My criticism is directed at the tour operator and the way this experience was managed. The tour is advertised as approximately 10 hours. Ours lasted more than 12 hours today, which is a major difference and something travelers should be aware of before booking. The first two stops were genuinely beautiful and worthwhile. Unfortunately, the third stop was a complete tourist trap. Lunch was significantly overpriced, the food was overcooked, and the entire stop felt designed to extract money from tourists rather than provide an authentic or enjoyable experience. The final stop was just okay and certainly did not redeem the day. Overall, the beautiful scenery and excellent guide could not make up for the operator’s conduct. Being an hour late is bad. Failing to communicate is worse. Lying to a paying customer about the reason for the delay is completely unacceptable. If you are considering this exact tour, my strongest recommendation is simple: BOOK IT WITH SOMEONE ELSE. There may be multiple operators offering similar itineraries, and I would absolutely choose another company. Based on my experience today, I found this operator to be deeply unprofessional, dishonest, and unethical. Avoid.
The tour was redundant. Firstly, they brought us to take coffee in a cafeteria of a friend which coincidentally rent winter clothes, the guide then drove to embalse which was stunning, but we were allowed to stay only 1 hour. After that, they served an aperitivo which was nice. However, all this stopped at 11, and from then the guide drove us to a related restaurant to have lunch at our expenses, where we spent more than 2 hours to then drive back and arrive back in Santiago around 15. In practice, we woke up at 5am and came back at 3pm, while spending only 1 hour in the place that we actually wanted to visit. All of this seemed to be organized to maximize the profits, of the travel agency, the rental and cafeteria in the morning, and the restaurant for lunch, which was unnecessary (likely the cafeteria and restaurant were related with the travel agency or had an agreement). In all this, we skipped the Chocolate Factory and other destinations listed in the tour description, only for the travel agency to bring us in places where they wanted us to spend money.
Today I went on this tour with my girlfriend and we had a fantastic time. Between the beautiful views, local points of interest and great food stops, it was a grwat tour. I was hesitant to go since the pickup time was so early, but my gf said let's go, so we did. The wake up was rough, but pickup as at our hotel and it made things much easier. I accidentally did not select a language, so I was on the portuguese/spanish tour, but anything I didn't understand, I got help with. Waldo was an excellent driver and guide throughout the day giving us information and tips on our stops. There is a chance to get breakfast (kind of expensive, lunch (reasonably priced and good food), and a picnic after lunch with some crackers, salami, cheese and wine/water/juice. We brought food as well and I would recommend doing the same. There were so many amazing pictures and videos taken, and memories that will stay with us forever. The price wss great and we'll worth every dollar. Thank you!
We had a very good experience. The landscapes were impressive and the entire activity was very well organized. The guide Sebastian was very kind, punctual, and attentive throughout the entire tour. In addition to providing interesting information about the places visited, he was always willing to help us and ensure that the group enjoyed the experience to the fullest.
Previously, we did another tour with Chiletour and it went quite well; this occasion was no exception. Sebastian (guide) and Rodrigo (pilot) were very kind and attentive. The place has a spectacular view; it is worth visiting. It is advisable to rent boots at the rental place before ascending.
Very good vibes from Sebastian. He picked us up directly from the hotel. We had an issue with the payment link, and they found the solution with great kindness. Thank you very much for the shared experience.
The guides Sebastian was wonderful and super attentive both in the places to take photos and with the safety of tourists. I recommend.
The trip to the El Yeso Reservoir was one of the highlights of my stay in Santiago. The lake and the surrounding mountains are incredibly beautiful and offer fantastic views. Our guide Sebastian was friendly, well-organized, and provided many interesting pieces of information throughout the day. I particularly enjoyed that we had enough time to appreciate the landscape and take photos. A lovely conclusion was the picnic with local specialties and traditional Chilean dance, which added a special cultural touch to the tour. I can recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience nature and the impressive Andes around Santiago.
