Il Palazzo Marshan è un palazzo del re del Marocco nel quartiere Marshan di Tangeri. Fermati ad esplorare la spettacolare architettura e arte.
Il Parco Perdicaris, noto anche come Foresta Rmilat e anticamente come Villa Aidonia o Luogo degli usignoli, è un parco pubblico che copre 70 ettari nel quartiere Rmilat di Tangeri, in Marocco. Si trova sulle pendici settentrionali della collina Jebel Kebir di fronte allo Stretto di Gibilterra, tra la riserva di Capo Spartel a ovest e il Palazzo Reale di Jebel Kebir a est. Prende il nome dal noto greco-americano Ion Hanford Perdicaris, che lo creò nel 1870 e fu rapito lì nell'incidente di Perdicaris della metà del 1904. La Kasbah di Tangeri è situata nella parte alta della medina. In altre parole, per visitare la kasbah bisogna dirigersi verso la medina, un piccolo universo pieno di vita, e poi percorrere le sue ripide strade fino alla parte più antica. L'antica cittadella risale al X secolo circa e, sebbene sia stata gradualmente modificata, conserva ancora abbastanza delle sue caratteristiche originali da trasportarvi indietro nel tempo.
È stata la prima proprietà pubblica americana all'estero ed è l'unico punto di riferimento storico nazionale degli Stati Uniti in un paese straniero. La legazione fu istituita il 17 maggio 1821 dopo decenni di cordiali rapporti tra gli Stati Uniti e il Marocco; Il sultano Mohammed ben Abdallah aveva emesso un proclama che riconosceva l'indipendenza degli Stati Uniti dalla Gran Bretagna il 20 dicembre 1777, rendendo la sua nazione la prima a farlo.
La sinagoga fu costruita da Moshe Nahon, banchiere e membro attivo della comunità ebraica di Tangeri.

Rida was a wonderful engaging guide. Very knowledgeable listing facts and figures while also adding personal anecdotes and insider tips. He showed our group some of the classic and iconic sights as well as some less traveled spots gaining access to some sites and locations we wouldn’t have unless he was our guide. We had a two mad team guiding us. They worked well together and made sure everyone was well taken care of and all questions were answered. Fun and interesting for all.
Hamza took us around Tangier and we had a marvelous time. He shared the history and highlights of a wonderful city. Loved the camel ride along the beach!

Our guide was Mohammed, we couldn’t ask for a better tour guide. He knew everyone in the market, Hercules cave, the kasbah, and everyone other place we went too. He is very patient with kids and knowledgeable. Generally the right places to shop, the lunch is an Authentic Moroccan food dish which we loved, there are options for kids too. At the end of the tour you get treats for refreshments at the end of the market but very good.

First half of the tour the driver to the sights was terrific. He was informative, helpful and friendly. Second half, the walking through the Kasbah was disappointing and off putting. We are slow walkers and the young man was several yards ahead of us almost the whole time , on his phone or talking to a friend that was with him part of the time. Worse, we were steered to only two or three shops that this tour company owns or has some affiliation with. And the guide was upset when I did not want to sit through an argan oil spiel that I had absolutely no interest in. Very disappointed to not have a chance to poke around the many little stalls that we walked past in the long walk to the guide’s chosen places.
