Guidando intorno alla montagna passerai davanti a meravigliosi chalet e residenze aristocratiche, fino a raggiungere uno dei tuoi palazzi preferiti come il Palazzo Nazionale, il Palazzo Pena, la Quinta da Regaleira o il Castello Moresco (scegli 1 da visitare, ti consigliamo di preacquistare il tuo biglietto.) Pranzo a Sintra e tempo ci dirigeremo verso il selvaggio Cabo da Roca, una scogliera a strapiombo di 150 metri che forma il punto più occidentale dell'Europa continentale. E andiamo a Cascais, una città costiera un tempo piccolo villaggio di pescatori divenuto popolare tra artisti e scrittori grazie ai suoi scenari idilliaci. Rientro a Lisbona lungo la costa, passando per Estoril ammirando la bellissima costa e le sue spiagge.

Sintra è una città turistica ai piedi della catena montuosa di Sintra, in Portogallo, vicino alla capitale, Lisbona. Per lungo tempo un santuario reale, i suoi terreni boscosi sono costellati di palazzi e palazzi pastello. Il Palazzo Nazionale di Sintra, in stile moresco e manuelino, è caratterizzato da due camini identici e piastrelle elaborate. Lo scrittore J. K. Rowling è stato ispirato qui per scrivere i libri (Cinema) di Harry Potter Il Regaleira Palace è l'edificio principale e il nome più comune del palazzo Quinta da Regaleira. È anche chiamato Monteiro dos Millões Palace, denominazione associata al soprannome del suo primo proprietario, António Augusto, che fu insignito del Re Dom Carlos I il 16 agosto 1904 come Barone di Almeida. Cabo da Roca è il punto più occidentale del Portogallo continentale, così come l'Europa continentale. Luís Vaz de Camões lo descrisse come il luogo "Dove finisce la terra e inizia il mare" (in Os Lusíadas, Canto III). Un modello in pietra con una lapide segna questa caratteristica geografica per tutti coloro che visitano questo luogo. La sua flora è varia e, in molti casi, ha specie uniche, essendo oggetto di numerosi studi che si estendono anche alla geomorfologia, tra gli altri. Nella zona c'è un faro (Faro di Cabo da Roca)
Cascais è una località balneare del Portogallo, appena ad ovest di Lisbona. È noto per le sue spiagge sabbiose e il vivace porto turistico. Il centro storico ospita la Fortezza medievale di Nostra Signora della Luce e il Palazzo della Cittadella, un ex rifugio reale. Nelle vicinanze si trova la chiesa imbiancata di Nostra Signora dell'Assunzione, con piastrelle smaltate. Da molti considerato il Monaco del Portogallo

We loved the tour. Jorge was great. He shared with us the history in great detail. He even volunteered to take my daughter and son in law, who were on the tour, to the train station so they could catch their ride. Jorge was one of the best guides I have seen, and I traveled all over the world.

We have used Eagle Travel Tours for a few of our day trips from Lisbon and beyond. We had an amazing experience with Filipe as our guide for Sintra and Cascais! She was incredibly informative, patient, and made sure every detail of our day was taken care of—even with a bit of unexpected weather. She showed us around Sintra and Cascais with such knowledge and enthusiasm, and even recommended a fantastic restaurant where the food was absolutely delicious. One of the highlights was visiting Quinta da Regaleira and then heading to Pena Palace later in the day. Filipe assured us that arriving around 5 PM wouldn’t be a problem, and she was 100% correct—we were able to enjoy both without feeling rushed. She also made sure we had water and felt comfortable guiding ourselves when needed. Even though it was a very long day for her, she never made us feel rushed. On the way back, she stopped at a beautiful view of the ocean. I made sure I had time to take lots of photos. Then she kindly stopped at a store so we could pick up medication for my husband, who had a cough. Her knowledge, patience, and genuine care made this day truly special. If you’re visiting Sintra and Cascais, we can’t recommend Filipe enough!

Our tour guide, Jorge, created a perfect day for us. He was punctual and kind, never giving us the impression that we needed to hurry. He shared Portugal’s proud history with us while driving us around Sintra, Cabo de Roca and Cascais. He was wonderful, informative, and patient ( waiting for us as we explored on our own) and delivering us back to our hotel after a day we will never forget.

The tour with Lima was amazing! He was such a knowledgeable guide and took us to all the important sites. The Pena Palace was great. We had a wonderful lunch with wine recommended by Lima. We are golfing in Cascais and Lima knew all about the courses. He would be fabulous arranging a golf vacation. We would highly recommend! Michelle and Mike

Our guide was an affable driver, but did not accompany us on any excursion. He’d not planned anything in advance. We had not purchased tickets to the popular castles in advance, nor had he, so we could not see them. Cascais was a similar experience.

It's true that the Tour didn't have tickets included but the day could have helped. Our family took two tours with EAGLE Travel Tours - a full day in Sintra/Cascais and a full day in Lisbon. Communication with the tour operator was excellent, and we thoroughly enjoyed both days! Our guide, Jorge, was extremely knowledgeable and a wonderful companion during our time in Portugal. We were a bit of a high maintenance family group and George was incredibly understanding and flexible with us. We will work with EAGLE again when we come back!
