Per prima cosa, ti dirigerai al famoso Nido dell'Aquila di Hitler, sulle Alpi di Berchtesgaden, poi scenderai nelle acque color smeraldo del Lago Königssee per un giro in barca. Infine, visiterai la perla storica dell'Austria, la città di Salisburgo, con il suo centro storico unico, ricco di monumenti e l'iconica Fortezza di Hohensalzburg. Il Nido dell'Aquila o Kehlsteinhaus fu costruito nel 1937-1938 come regalo per il cinquantesimo compleanno di Hitler. L'edificio è un capolavoro architettonico con viste fantastiche, che sorge su uno stretto costone roccioso ad un'altitudine di 1.834 metri nel mezzo delle Alpi Bavaresi, vicino alla città alpina di Berchtesgaden. Una visita al Nido dell'Aquila è affascinante, il tuo autista privato parlante inglese ti condurrà al parcheggio, dove un autobus locale ti condurrà lungo un ripido sentiero lungo 6,5 km scavato nella roccia. In 15 minuti salirai 700 metri. Ma non è tutto. Quando raggiungi il parcheggio superiore, dovrai attraversare un tunnel rivestito di marmo e poi prendere un lussuoso ascensore d'epoca per altri 124 metri. Lì troverai non solo gli interni della villa un tempo famosa, ma anche il ristorante e, naturalmente, splendide viste panoramiche sulle Alpi.
Non perdere l'occasione di fare una gita in barca e goderti la pace e la tranquillità del parco nazionale. Ti aspetta un panorama mozzafiato di cascate e imponenti scogliere. Il Königssee verde smeraldo si trova ai piedi della parete orientale del Watzmann, nel cuore del Parco Nazionale di Berchtesgaden. Con 190 metri di profondità è il lago più profondo della Germania. La gita in barca sul lago si ferma alla famosa Chiesa di San Bartolomeo. La chiesa del XVII secolo è uno dei luoghi più fotogenici del lago. C'è un chiosco e un ristorante nelle vicinanze. È interessante notare che il lago ghiaccia in media solo una volta ogni 10 anni. Ci vuole un clima insolitamente freddo e senza vento. Una crociera sul lago è quindi un'esperienza in ogni periodo dell'anno.
Quando ne avrai abbastanza della bellezza del Königsee, ti aspetta un comodo trasferimento privato al prossimo gioiello. L'imponente fortezza Hohensalzburg è la più grande fortezza sopravvissuta dell'Europa centrale e offre viste panoramiche mozzafiato a 360°. Costruito originariamente nel 1077 dall'arcivescovo Gebhard come fortezza difensiva, si trova in cima alla collina Festungsberg. Ancora oggi occupa una posizione dominante, dominando la città di Salisburgo come sua eterna custode. All'interno del castello sono presenti diverse mostre museali. Al terzo piano si trovano le stanze originali, tra cui la Sala dei Principi, la Camera d'Oro e la Sala d'Oro. Gli arredi di queste stanze sono originali e sono rimasti inalterati dal 1501/1502. Bellissimo anche il centro storico della città, dove potrete visitare le location delle riprese dell'iconico musical Tutti insieme appassionatamente.

Tomas was an exceptional guide. He customized our pickup and we spent extra time at places we wanted to and less time where we didn’t need as much. It was the fullest day of touting I can remember. I would definitely have Tomas take us on another tour. He provided history, context, and was tremendously personable.
The eagles nest was a disappointment as it had no historical value, however Martin was the best part of the whole experience. He took us everywhere we wanted to go and more; he was super nice and made us feel incredibly comfortable.

Our guide Abir was very kind. It was the perfect day in 3 great locations. It is nice to do research ahead of time so you have an idea of things you want to see in your free time once you get to the locations.
This was an all-day tour covering 3 locations. I thought I was in shape, but realized how the altitude at Konigssee and Eagle Nest can change that assessment! We were fortunate to have an experienced tour guide in Tomas Vacir. He was proactive in telling us when we need to buy tickets (the lift at Konigssee, the bus up to Eagle's Nest). If it had not been for him, we would not have been able get into Eagle's Nest, as it happened to be a holiday and the morning slots had already been taken. We adapted by going to Konigssee first, taking in Eagle's Nest in the afternoon and finishing the day in Salzburg. Tomas was very prompt to greet us after each visit and get us to our next destination. He even provided us map location to our phone of sites to visit in Salzburg.
It's a great area to travel and great stops along the way. Our driver Tomas was friendly and informative.

After a long drive, the tour had been closed due to weather. Had we been informed of this, alternative plans would have been made. The driver we had however, was fantastic and we made the best of it.

We enjoyed an entire day with Tomas. He is fluent in English and we had enjoyable conversations the whole day. He loves history and shared a lot of information, so if Tomas is your driver please ask about the history for each spot visited. We loved how this private tour is completely catered to what you want to do and for how long. We were able to communicate with Tomas using WhatsApp to modify how long we wanted to stay at each place. He was quick to respond and pick us up promptly. Tomas really made this tour fun and enjoyable as it takes an entire day. A couple of suggestions: get to Eagles Nest early as the large tour groups show up around 10:30 am and be sure to contact The Europe Journey Team and request the links to purchase the tickets for the bus at Eagle Nest and the boat ride at Lake Königssee before you go. The Europe Journey Team was also very quick to respond using WhatsApp. They sent me our driver Tomas’ contact information the day before so I was able to touch base about the pickup time. Munich’s weather can change quickly so pack for both rain and sunshine. Overall we enjoyed each spot visited. Munich is a beautiful city with lots to see 💕
