Itinerario

After picking us up at our airbnb in Laureles, Carlos led us on a private tour of the city. Included were a ride on the cable cars, a visit to Comuna 13 and the Plaza Boteros. With only a short time to spend in Medellin, we were able to get a good sense of the city, its past, its present and its possible future. Carlos was knowledgeable, engaging and willing to share his thoughts on past and current Colombian events. He even gave us the name of a great coffee shop in the neighborhood where we were staying! I highly recommend this tour to anyone trying to get their initial bearings in this fascinating and beautiful city.

I loved the treatment of Daniela the guide and Luis the driver. Meeting Commune 13 was one of the best experiences of my life. I was very happy with the attention and kindness. Punctual and excellent tour.

This was an amazing experience. Carlos took the time to explain everything and answered all of our questions. He even gave us great recommendations of places to eat.
Angel, thank you for reviewing us. We appreciate you and your business. Tell your friends and loved ones so they can book with us for future travel. Cheers! Medellin Travels
I found this tour too late in day to book (entirely my fault, still jet-lagged), however after a brief call with Alex and Lina they went above and beyond to arrange a slot for me in the afternoon. My tour guide Daniela was very knowledgeable and made the entire tour very relaxed. I was collected from and dropped back to my hotel which made it so easy. Our driver was also very nice. I really feel like I saw a side of Medellin that I wouldn't have been able to without Daniela. The views of the city were absolutely fantastic. I would highly recommend this tour.
Ben, good to hear from you. I was in the middle of the jungle doing a Rio Claro jungle river tour when you called inquiring for a tour. I'm glad I had really good reception in the jungle to take your call..lol. We are happy to have accommodated you on such a short notice. We get booked in advance, but we do what is humanly possible to take care of people last minute if we have a slot. Thanks for highly recommending us! Take care man, Alex and Lina from Medellintravels.com
David is very knowledgeable about the background of the city and the recent political climate. Knowing how the city handled/is handling the poverty and violence and how it connects to the graffiti in the Commune 13 made me appreciate the art way more than I could have by visiting there by myself. I highly recommend the private tour over a large group tour. You can stop as many times as you like to take pictures, and you don’t have to waste time waiting for other people. This was one of the best tours I’ve attended.
Ym, thanks for your review. I'm very glad that you mentioned that a private tour with us is way better than that cattle call filthy bus tour where you don't grasp the content since they are not fluent in English, and it's too rowdy anyway with all of those people flocking around to begin with. Also, I'm happy that you pointed out that going on your own is NOT the way to go. It is a labyrinth as you saw. It's nice to be adventurous, but not stupid. We know the area very well, as our foundation Lend Me a Hand sponsors the graffitti artists there through our big brother program. We applaud you for making a wise choice, and like you said, you took as many pictures as you wanted, stopped where you wanted, didn't have to wait for other people, and learned a whole lot! Cheers cool guy! Alex from Medellintravels.com
