Had a few stops along the way, wine, olive oil, final stop in the gorge for lunch, unbelievably delicious. I can't say enough about it. Excellent tour that included Wine and Olive Oil tasting at a family run farm. Trip included stunning views from little used unpaved mountain tracks with no crash road-side barriers - just an almost vertical drop. Stavros, the driver was extremely safe and full of information about the terrain and historical context of the area. Excellent Cretan lunch at a restaurant high in the mountains with ever changing views as the sun moved. Many thanks Stavros for a great adventure trip. Bob and Narumi

We had an amazing time with Nikolas on our shore excursion. We had a short port day but got an early start with a 4x4 tour around the White Mountains and Samaria Gorge with a stop for a local snack. We had hoped to tour the olive oil facility but they were closed for an event. However, Nasos arranged a tasting for us in Chania and even brought my daughter a bottle of local olive oil. Nikolas was fantastic and kept all of us, including our 15 and 10 year old, entertained and engaged throughout the day. It was one of our favorite activities of our 10+ day trip in Italy and the Greek Isles, and we are already considering a return trip to Crete. It's a magical place.

Vasileios was knowledgeable, a fantastic driver and a gracious host. We had an adventurous drive up the unpaved winding road to the top of the White Mountains. We enjoyed a plentiful and delicious meal at the beautiful restaurant overlooking the gorge and summit of the mountain.

Lunch at the restaurant and the wine tasting was amazing. We heard lots of good stories and made the driver laugh. Nicolaus was very personable and knowledgeable.

Stavros is the best guide! Pleasant, knowledgeable, and kind. He made the tour so much fun. His historical knowledge of Crete is exceptional - a great storyteller! The wine and olive oil tasting was great! The drive the rest of the way to the restaurant and the gorge was adventurous and fun! The views are spectacular! Fun for kids too. A must do!!!

Nicos and tour are tops. We two were with another 2 couples in a very comfortable all terrain 4wd. If you want a great day out and to see lots including the magnificent 3000 (yes 3000 plus) year old Olive tree then this is the tour....ps Nic is also fun to be with and likes a laugh..

We had a wonderful day touring Chania area with Dimitri- he picked us up in Chania at the Chania Flair hotel (great place to stay near the waterfront) and we had a fun visit into the country side for an olive oil tasting and wine tasting. On the way we stopped at a 3000 year old olive tree and Dimitri shared stories of early Olympic tradition of the olive bough and garland of leaves for the winner—He treated us to a cup of mountain tea (healing and immune boosting herbs) with local honey- loved it! Olive oil tasting was very fun, followed by interesting ride up the mountains on rustic roads followed by shepherds and hikers to the summit of the mountain where both the North and the South sides of Crete can be viewed. Stunning vistas of the mountains and the coasts- fun to see the goats along the way up at the summit. The most spectacular thing that Dimitri shared with us was the entrance to the Samarian Gorge- we had lunch at a taverna right at the mouth of the gorge, with incredible views and wonderful meal of grilled lamb, Greek salad, herb and rice stuffed vegetables, braised rooster with noodles, and fava bean salad- of course washed down with very good white wine and Mythos beers- incredible meal with a very memorable view. Dimitri shared with us the info about gorge trekking (10 KM) WE really enjoyed our day with Dimitri and highly recommend his as a guide of this area. Very fun day!

I went on this tour today with Nasos, he was amazing. As I am petrified of heights and the road that we take to get to our final destination was fairly high up and I was very scared. He was so comforting and caring. The views and amazing history that he shared really made the tour amazing. We stopped at the olive oil place where we saw the oldest tree that still produces olives. Here we ad time to have a nice coffee or tea and some photos before we went to a winery and had an amazing taste testing of 5 wines and the most incredible olive oil you will ever taste. Then we headed to Samaria Gorge where we had the best food ever an the views were unbelievable. If you are in Chania, you need to book this tour, it will change your life and is so breathtaking. Thank you again Nasos for an amazing day.
