L'Arco di Trionfo. Costruito come ingresso all'Esposizione Universale del 1888, questo arco offre numerose fantastiche opportunità fotografiche.
Dopo l'Arco, pedaleremo attraverso il sempre verde Parc de la Ciutadella. Qui vedremo una fantastica fontana e la regina del parco- Il mammut di Ciutadella.
Questo quartiere medievale è un must. Vedremo le rovine medievali che sono state scoperte sotto un vecchio mercato, la basilica del 14° secolo, Santa Maria del Mar e l'antica strada Passeig del Born.
Dopo una pedalata e passando per Port Olympic, passeggeremo sulle nostre biciclette oltre la spiaggia. L'intera area è stata trasformata magnificamente per le Olimpiadi del 1992, nel nostro tour vedremo come fino ad oggi quel cambiamento è stato un grande successo.
dalla spiaggia continueremo attraverso un pezzo di spiaggia in zona Barceloneta, da lì pedaleremo attraverso il Porto Vecchio.
Un altro monumento costruito per l'olimpica nel 1992. Questa opera d'arte è stata creata da Roy Lichenstein ed è d'obbligo per alcune foto.
Questo quartiere romano/gotico ha molti siti da vedere. Passeremo per la Basilica La Merce, la maestosa Plaza Real e per Plaza Jaume. Il quartiere stesso è una reliquia e le sue strade ombreggiate sono perfette per un giro in bicicletta.
Prima di lasciare il quartiere Gotico, passeremo davanti alla Cattedrale. Questa antica cattedrale con la sua facciata neogotica è assolutamente da vedere a Barcellona.
Dopo aver pedalato attraverso Plaza Catalunya, attraverseremo Passeig de Gracia, o come è noto, il Miglio d'Oro. Questa famosa strada non è conosciuta solo per lo shopping, ma anche per le sue famose case moderniste. Qui vedremo le case di Gaudi Casa Batllo e casa Pedrera, oltre ad alcuni gioielli di altri architetti dello stesso periodo dell'architettura per cui Barcellona è così famosa.
Successivamente continueremo verso la parte più famosa di Barcellona, la Sagrada Familia di Gaudì. Questa straordinaria creazione fu iniziata nel 1882 e la costruzione è ancora in corso. Con le sue bellissime facciate e le incredibili sculture, osserveremo ogni lato di questa basilica.

A wonderful experience, it was so fun for our son who wouldn’t normally like walking through museums! His was engaged and loved the riding around. Our guide was great and we loved going around!

Paul was an excellent guide. So friendly and knowledgeable. We chose to go on standard bikes at a comfortable speed and we saw a lot of areas in the city including the beautiful waterfront. We loved the gorgeous park that was a setting for the World's Fair. We went through the 1992 Olympic Village. We really enjoyed Paul and would easily recommend biking through the beautiful city of Barcelona where the crowds are thinner. It was a perfect morning choosing to do this biking your!

On arrival bike was ready and waiting. After some introductions and safety advice off we went. The tour was at a good pace and good information was given at the “stops” Guide was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Certainly saw parts of the city that I would not have on foot. Enjoyed!!

Paul's bike tour was the perfect first activity when we arrived in Barcelona. He asked us what we wanted from the tour and took us on a city overview ride to so many of the sights. From Sagrada Familia to the oldest sections of the walls, Paul included both history and day to day life in Barcelona. As we rode he also pointed out other places we should explore. Barcelona is a very bike-friendly city with bike lanes everywhere complete with separate bike signals. Paul made us feel very comfortable riding in a new city and carefully obeyed all the bike traffic rules. His bikes were in excellent condition.

Really good way of seeing the city. Paul the guide was very affable and answered all my questions with in depth knowledge. I would recommend this tour on your first day as it is a great way to find your bearings and all the major landmarks of the city. Much easier than walking in the heat of the day.

Paul was personable and interesting!! He loves the city and we learned things we wouldn’t have just walking around. The biking was easy, just the biking lanes and lights were confusing but you get the hang of it. He supplied water and an apple for a mid morning snack. He was charming and friendly!!!
