We had a great time and so nice to see and explore the islands. The boat ride was super fun. Book it!
Our boat ride with Alex was very special. He took us to Murano and Burano where we disembarked and spent a good amount of time in each. At Murano we were led to a factory where we got a private demonstration by a Grand Master glass maker, Massimo, who made a small vase and a small horse in front of us. From there they led us upstairs to a gallery full of beautiful authentic Murano glass art and we were able to walk all around the gallery with a man who worked there. At the authentic Murano stores you can bargain and they’re usually willing to give you a discounted price. Burano is known for lace making and there we walked into one of two stores that Alex recommended. At Burano bargaining with the client is alive and well also. And yes, both at Murano and Burano, but especially at Burano, they are a little pushy and you may feel like you’re in a tourist trap, except what they are selling is beautiful and unique, so you are compelled to stay and look and maybe buy also. We didn’t disembark in Torcello but Alex drove us all around the island highlighting the most important facts. In honor of our wedding anniversary which we were celebrating he gave us prosecco and some traditional Burano biscuits. It was a bit chilly so he also gave us jackets to wear. Alex made the experience very special.
Alex was fantastic. Very friendly and knowledgeable. He made the experience special for us. Thank you!
What a fantastic way to spend half a day! Alex was such a friendly and knowledgeable driver. We learned so much about Venice and had so much fun!
Exceptional way to see the “molto bellissimo”islands of Venezia. The Captain navigates the water artfully and provides just the perfect amount of history and information to make the afternoon perfect!
Wow, what a ride! Hopping on that boat and cruising to Murano, Burano, and Torcello was like diving straight into a Venice history lesson, but way cooler. Learning how Venice was built was mind-blowing. Those canals? They're not just pretty water streets; they're the heart of the city. Murano was all about fiery furnaces and wicked glass-blowing skills. Seriously, watching those pros turn hot glass into art was like magic. Burano? Picture-perfect with its colorful houses and awesome lace stuff. And Torcello? Felt like stepping back in time. We also chatted about the challenges Venice faces, like the crazy floods. Hearing about the new dam they built to fight off the rising waters was super interesting. Big shoutout to our guide! He was on point, super chill, and knew a ton. My only bummer? I should've booked a longer tour. There's so much more to see! All in all, if you're looking to get the real scoop on Venice and its islands, this boat tour is a must. I'm already planning round two. Catch you on the next wave! 🌊🚤🇮🇹
Alex was absolutely amazing! He was super informative and arranged for a VIP glass factory tour where we participated!
We had a fantastic time with Alessandro! This is a truly private tour, it was just the two of us on his boat. The itinerary is perfect for a half day. You visit Murano including a glass blowing factory, and you also get to walk around on Burano. Before returning, you pass by Torcello. The boat is clean and Alessandro had great local knowledge to share!
Very nice private guide who informed us about lots of info and answered all our questions. Visit with no waiting access to Murano.
Andreas was wonderful. Very nice informative. Not impressed with the islands visited. But loved being out on the water on a beautiful day.
