Sono nato e cresciuto in un ex territorio del ghetto ebraico di Varsavia. Conosco ogni angolo di quel distretto e sento che è la mia eredità presentare la storia nel modo in cui era. Sono pieno di rispetto per tutti i fatti della storia e li sto presentando con devozione e passione. Il mio obiettivo è dirti com'è.

Il ghetto di Varsavia era il più grande ghetto ebraico istituito dalla Germania nazista durante la seconda guerra mondiale. Creato nel 1940, ha imprigionato oltre 400.000 ebrei in condizioni sovraffollate e disumane dietro muri e filo spinato. Divenne un luogo di immense sofferenze, fame e deportazioni nei campi di sterminio, ma anche di coraggio e resistenza, culminando nella rivolta del ghetto di Varsavia del 1943.
I frammenti rimanenti del muro originale del ghetto di Varsavia sono tra i simboli più potenti della seconda guerra mondiale a Varsavia. Costruito dalla Germania nazista nel 1940, il muro ha imprigionato centinaia di migliaia di ebrei in condizioni sovraffollate e brutali. Oggi, le sezioni conservate servono come commoventi promemoria della sofferenza, della separazione e della resilienza della comunità ebraica.
Il memoriale in via Chłodna segna il sito della passerella in legno che un tempo collegava le due parti del ghetto di Varsavia sopra la strada sottostante. Utilizzato dagli ebrei costretti nel ghetto durante la seconda guerra mondiale, il ponte divenne uno dei simboli più riconoscibili di divisione, isolamento e vita quotidiana sotto l'occupazione nazista in tempo di guerra a Varsavia.
Il monumento Umschlagplatz segna il sito dove gli ebrei furono deportati dal ghetto di Varsavia a Treblinka durante la seconda guerra mondiale.

Una visita esterna al POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews mette in evidenza la potente architettura e l'ambientazione storica del museo, situato nel centro dell'ex Ghetto di Varsavia. I visitatori possono vedere la suggestiva facciata in vetro moderno, la piazza pubblica simbolica e i monumenti vicini collegati alla storia ebraica. Proprio accanto al museo sorge il Monumento agli Eroi del Ghetto, che commemora la rivolta del ghetto di Varsavia del 1943, insieme a targhe e monumenti che onorano il coraggio e la sofferenza della comunità ebraica di Varsavia durante la seconda guerra mondiale. Consigliamo di fare di questa la tappa finale del tour, consentendo di continuare con una visita autoguidata di 3 ore attraverso la mostra principale del museo, esplorando 1.000 anni di storia degli ebrei polacchi con l'aiuto di un'audioguida.

Our tour with Paulina was excellent. We wanted to see the area of the Warsaw Ghetto, and Paulina took us there and showed us all the important sights. We upgraded to the tour with a driver which significantly helped with the amount of walking we had to do. We saw the Warsaw Zoo, original buildings from the Warsaw Ghetto, and many monuments to the victims and heroes. Paulina added so much to the tour with her commentary. Highly recommend.

If possible, take a private tour. It’s quite an experience and then you can always regroup later with the information. You’ll learn so much take lots of pictures.
Art is the best guide! He was super communicative and worked with us on a great tour plan. He was flexible, punctual, and overall gave an awesome tour. He’s funny, smart, and after our tour ended, we left extremely happy. I cannot recommend touring with Art enough!
The guide Arturo was prompt, friendly, courteous and very very knowledgeable. Arturo has lived in this area his whole life and was able to give us an additional perspective of living his early years under Soviet rule before Poland's independence. And living in a city that then had to start rebuilding itself after Soviet rule. We learned alot.
The guide was extremely knowledgeable about the area that we were touring and he was an excellent docent. He was not aware of what the Viator trip included so we missed two inclusions and one was the highlights of the Polin museum which we wanted to see. We never got there. He did not realize that it was a four hour tour, not three. He did add a destination that was not an inclusion but it was just a photo stop. We ended up touring for four hours but I find it hard to understand that your guides are not knowledgeable about the details of the tours that they are giving. Viator has to do a better job of informing the docent.
Thank you Sandra, I am glad though that we managed to proceed with this short notice booking. We also picked you up from a hotel that was not listed in the offer. Also we will work on improving things you mentioned. Finally, Polin museum exhibition is not listed in the offer as far as it takes 3-4 hours with an audioguide to see it. You did see the museum from the outside as the offer says and were explained the history significance of the near by monuments. Thank you for your booking and visit in Warsaw! :)
