Il tempio di Lempuyang o The Gate of Heaven Bali è il tempio più alto di Bali, dove vedrai la famosa Porta del Paradiso che si affaccia sul vulcano Agung, il più grande vulcano di Bali. Da questa porta vedrai il paradiso della bellissima Bali come se fossi in piedi nel cielo. Si ritiene che il tempio di Lempuyang sia anteriore alla maggior parte dei templi indù dell'isola. Sicuramente un punto culminante su qualsiasi itinerario di viaggio per i più in forma e avventurosi, il tempio principale si trova a 1.175 m sul livello del mare, sulla cima dell'omonimo Monte Lempuyang a East Bali. Con attrazioni lungo il percorso tra cui molti altri templi e orde di macachi grigi dalla coda lunga che abitano le fresche foreste di montagna circostanti.
Il Tirta Gangga Water Palace è uno dei più popolari luoghi di interesse di Bali progettato e costruito nel 1948 da Anak Agung Anglurah Ketut Karangasem (1887 - 1966), che fu l'ultimo re di Karangasem. Era un uomo straordinario a dir poco, non solo perché era l'architetto dei giardini d'acqua, ma anche perché aiutava nella costruzione dei giardini.
Ujung Water Palace of Taman Ujung Sukasada è uno dei più popolari luoghi di interesse di Bali situato nel villaggio di Seraya nella reggenza di Karangasem, è il sito gemello di Tirta Gangga, anch'esso costruito dal defunto raja di Karangasem. Il complesso è costituito da varie grandi piscine e strutture storiche poste sullo sfondo del Monte Agung e del litorale orientale. Il sito subì una devastazione devastata da piogge di cenere bollente in seguito all'eruzione del vicino Monte Agung nel 1963 e anche nel 1979 un terremoto. Virgin Beach si estende per circa 700 metri attorno a un'attraente baia turchese, circondata da scogliere rocciose e circondata da una foresta tropicale. We did a tour of East Bali for a full day with driver Raj. It was a wonderful experience. We visited first a traditional Balinese village in the jungle, then headed to the waterpalace. Afterwards we visited the Gate to the Heaven, visited a Coffee plantation before heading to Virgin Beach. On all the points we had sufficient time to visit and enjoy ! Raj gave us a good explanation on all the sites we visited and managed the fast and efficiënt entry to all the sites. He drives you very safely through the hectic traffic in Bali. We had a wonderful time with our guide Raj.

It is a tour that, leaving from Ubud, will effectively take all day, so, have all the patience, but it is worth it; at the gates of heaven they assign you a number, we waited two and a half hours for the photo, but the key is to accept other photos that they take you to 5 minutes from there that are really worth taking, excellent photographers and excellent landscapes, when you return to the iconic spot it will be your turn. The beach is really quiet, fine sand, it's worth it.

My wife and I really enjoyed our time at the gates of heaven tour! Our guide, Aldo was very kind and knowledgeable about the surrounding locations and gave us some brief history lessons during our 2h drive up from Sanur. The views at all locations were immaculate, but at the gates in particular, there will be people trying to sell you on other views that are around the main photo op. The event staff use your personal cellphone to take the photos, so if you're looking to take the best possible photos or videos, I would highly recommend bringing a solid camera.
