Dirigendoci verso sud da Roma, supereremo i Castelli Romani - - che si traduce come "Castelli Romani" - nella Campagna Romana vicino al bellissimo Lago Albano. I Castelli Romani non sono castelli nel senso di gigantesche dimore fortificate medievali ma piuttosto un insieme di borghi situati intorno al lago ai piedi dei Colli Albani, nel territorio corrispondente al Lazio antico, intriso di storia antica.
L'Abbazia di Montecassino è un monastero storico noto soprattutto per la battaglia di Montecassino durante la seconda guerra mondiale, che provocò ingenti perdite alleate e Tedesche nonché la quasi totale distruzione della città stessa. L'imponente complesso è stato ricostruito e taglia una bella figura mentre si guida.
Il golfo di Napoli è un bel golfo che si estende per circa 15 chilometri da Napoli a Sorrento, dominato ad est dall’imponente figura del Vesuvio,

Pompei è un luogo dove il tempo si è fermato dal 79 d.C., quando la catastrofica eruzione del Vesuvio fece piovere tonnellate di cenere e lava sulla città romana. Il disastro monumentale ha perfettamente conservato la città, dandoci uno sguardo unico sulla vita dell'Antica Roma.

Our driver Fabio was great and very punctual! The agency also arranged a private tour in Pompeii which was also wonderful. We were able to see and learn things we wouldn’t have. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to visit Pompeii hassle free.
We used Driver in Rome for 3 different private tours and one transfer to the airport on our last morning. We did a Vatican tour, the Colosseum/Roman Forum tour, and a Pompeii tour.
I have been to Pompeii before by train and by tour bus and I did not enjoy either means of transport. I decided to schedule a private tour through Viator and it was the absolute best. Our driver- Ricardo was perfect! He picked us up outside our VRBO door and dropped us right at the entry gate. He told us to take as long as we wanted to explore Pompeii and then again picked us up at the gate. Coming home to Rome he took us to a wonderful 6th century cathedral Santa Sabina. Absolutely the best!
Our driver Riccardo was fabulous. He was engaging, informative, and really took good care of us along the drive making sure that we had everything we needed and were comfortable. And he pointed out interesting things along the way. Our tour guide Barbara was awesome too! She really gave a fantastic overview of Pompeii in such a way that we left feeling that we had a real sense of the big picture of the life and history of Pompeii. Thank you to both Ricardo and Barbara. We didn't ever feel rushed and we were back in Rome in time to enjoy the late afternoon.

David was the kindest and most intelligent guide and driver. He was punctual and very literate in the culture and his English was near perfect. He was amazing with my father and three kids. He arranged a great guide, Santiago for Pompeii, who was very very gentle and well spoken and incredibly well versed in the history. He brought Pompeii to life. David brought us to a restaurant by Pompeii, and was honest that he had connections there and there was no pressure to eat there. We did, and it was touristy but actually excellent and affordable. The food was very delicious and fresh and service kind. We can't say enough good things! Grazie mille
