Omar gave us a super day to Giethoorn, in spite of the rain and thunder we were early enough to still enjoy the boat ride. We would have preferred the small boat ride, but were limited to the larger covered boat due to the weather. This is a village we could have stayed much longer to enjoy the walking paths amongst the lovely houses. We only had an hour after the boat ride to explore and eat lunch. Make this a full day excursion!

We had an amazing experience on our private tour with Ferry from Haarlem to Giethoorn in April. From start to finish, everything was smooth and thoughtfully planned. Our guide picked us up right from our house, which made things super convenient for our family with a toddler. Once we arrived in Giethoorn, we started with a relaxing boat tour through the picturesque canals—such a charming and peaceful way to see the village. After that, we had the chance to rent our own boat and explore at our own pace, which was a lot of fun and gave us a bit of adventure too! We had lunch at a restaurant right along the canal, watching boats glide/crash past as we dined. It was just busy enough to feel lively without being overcrowded—early spring turned out to be the perfect time to visit. Everything was accessible, and we never felt rushed or overwhelmed. Highly recommend this tour if you're looking for a relaxed, scenic day trip that still offers some flexibility. Great for families, and a wonderful way to experience the beauty of the Dutch countryside!
