Una sosta sulla riva del bellissimo Lough Leane alla periferia di Killarney.
Cahergall Stone Fort fu costruito intorno al 600 d.C. Con muri alti circa 6 m e spessi circa 3 m, questo forte con muretti a secco è uno dei migliori esempi di forte in pietra altomedievale che si trova sul Ring of Kerry.
Valentia Island si trova appena al largo della costa sud-occidentale della contea di Kerry ed è uno dei punti più occidentali dell'Irlanda. Combina storia affascinante, paesaggi meravigliosi e un'interessante scena culturale, rendendolo un luogo ideale da visitare sul Ring of Kerry.
La cava di ardesia è stata aperta per la prima volta nel 1816 sotto la direzione del Cavaliere di Kerry e da allora è stata una cava funzionante a intermittenza. Il sito del faro di Cromwell Point era originariamente sede di un Cromwellian Fort del XVII secolo, uno dei due costruiti sull'isola di Valentia in questo periodo. La sagoma del forte di Cromwell Point con i suoi bastioni e la caserma all'interno delle sue mura può ancora essere facilmente tracciata dall'aria, situata appena all'interno del muro di recinzione del faro. Il forte fu mantenuto dopo la Restaurazione e ci sono varie voci di Carta di Stato sulla sua riparazione nel periodo 1663-1665. Fu sciolto nel 1669. La prima luce per Cromwell Point fu originariamente richiesta il 30 marzo 1828 dall'onorario di destra Maurice Fitzgerald, cavaliere di Kerry. I lavori del faro iniziarono dieci anni dopo, nel 1838, la luce fu esposta per la prima volta il 1 febbraio 1841. Dal novembre 1947 la luce è stata automatizzata.
Portmagee è un grazioso villaggio di pescatori nel sud-ovest della contea di Kerry, sul porto di Valentia, da dove puoi attraversare il ponte per l'isola di Valentia.
Le scogliere di Kerry sono ampiamente accettate come le scogliere più spettacolari del Kerry. Le scogliere si trovano a oltre 1000 piedi sopra l'Atlantico selvaggio e si sono formate in un ambiente desertico 400 milioni di anni fa. A ovest si ergono le meravigliose Skellig Rocks, uno dei soli tre siti patrimonio mondiale dell'UNESCO in Irlanda. Naturalmente le Kerry Cliffs sono il punto di osservazione più vicino alle grandi rocce e anche alla famosa Puffin Island. Alleato con questi fatti mentre ti trovi in cima a questo luogo mistico e respiri l'aria più fresca, in profondità nei tuoi polmoni dal selvaggio Atlantico e osservi questa meraviglia naturale. Puoi rilassarti e distenderti e osservare le maestose viste da qui che si estendono per 30 miglia delle aree circostanti.
La spiaggia di Ballinskelligs è 1,0 km di spiaggia sabbiosa immacolata situata nella baia di Ballinskelligs vicino al castello di Mc Carthys. Separata dal molo di Ballinskelligs dall'abbazia di Ballinskelligs, la spiaggia è uno dei segreti meglio custoditi del South Kerry ed è stata per molti anni una delle preferite dalle famiglie locali. È una spiaggia Bandiera Blu di riconoscimento ambientale internazionale.
Waterville (An Coireán) è un piccolo villaggio costiero situato tra l'Oceano Atlantico e il Lough Currane sul pittoresco e famoso Ring of Kerry lungo la Wild Atlantic Way.
Sneem è un villaggio colorato nel sud-ovest del Kerry, benedetto da paesaggi squisiti, paesaggi selvaggi e imponenti montagne del Kerry. Il nome Sneem, significa "il nodo" che lega insieme il Ring of Kerry. Qui, la Killarney Mountain Road e le Kenmare e Waterville Roads del Ring of Kerry portano tutte a Sneem.
Ladies View è di circa 12 miglia da Killarney. La vista qui è probabilmente la più conosciuta di Killarney ed è una grande attrazione per i visitatori. Le dame di compagnia della regina Vittoria visitarono qui durante la visita reale nel 1861. Erano così prese dall'idea che prese il nome da loro.
La cascata di Torc si trova a circa 7 chilometri da Killarney Town. Una breve passeggiata di circa 200 metri porta alla cascata.

Great tour! Paudie was such a good tour guide. He is originally from the area so knows everyone and takes you too great locations. The cliffs of Kerry are beautiful and he makes the experience feel like a VIP tour. Made the long day feel fun and the van was very comfortable
A big gratitude to Paudie our driver was super friendly and knowledgable. He took our family on the ROC tour with several extra stops along the way. His van was very comfortable and fit all 6 of us. Great way to see the Kerry Cliffs and Valentia Island that you can’t get from a regular tour bus. Our guide Paudie was great and goes places others don’t. A fantastic way to experience the real Ireland.
Upon recommendation from my cousin, my husband and I booked a private tour of the Ring of Kerry and Skellig Ring with Paudie. We are so glad that we took her advice, as we had the best day! We saw so much of the area that we never would have been able to find or see if we had driven ourselves. Paudie was a wealth of historical and local knowledge, and he knew right where to go for the best access to all of the major sites and hidden local gems too. We lucked out and had beautiful weather during our tour and time in Ireland, which made this tour all the more spectacular!

We had an amazing day! Paudie Murphy was friendly and funny. We saw all the sites on the tour and even a couple spontaneous things too! Paudie is born and raised in the area. He knows all the history; his family is still local; and he recommended great restaurants for dinner.
We had an incredible tour with Paudie. He provided a VIP experience, getting into some of the prettiest sights in Ireland. Paudie was very personable and shared so many fun facts. Not only does he know about the area, he clearly absolutely loves creating excellent memories.

We had the most amazing private tour with Paudie Murphy, it’s truly the best way to see the Ring of Kerry! He took us to places we would never have been able to see, the most beautiful sights you can imagine. So many wonderful surprises throughout the day including the most incredible lunch. Paudie knows all the best places to see, stopping frequently for photos, he is wealth of knowledge, so friendly and humorous, it was an absolute delight to spend the day with him! Our private tour of the Ring of Kerry and Skellig Ring with Paudie was an unforgettable journey through some of Ireland’s most stunning landscapes. Paudie’s extensive knowledge and engaging storytelling brought the region’s history to life. We especially appreciated his personal touch, as he shared heartfelt stories from his childhood growing up in a town along the Ring of Kerry. One of the highlights was our visit to Valentia Island, where the serene beauty and historical significance left a lasting impression. Paudie was an amazing tour guide. We did Ring of Kerri and Skellig tour and we went for close to 12 hours - ate at a local pub , saw many sites that were special to his tour. We didn’t once run in to any tour buses where we went ! Views were spectacular Ps - only discovered that my original review didn’t go through while we were recommending him to others so posting it now !!!
