Questa area naturale protetta, dichiarata "patrimonio naturale dell'umanità", ha uno degli ecosistemi più affascinanti di tutto il mondo, balene, orche, leoni marini, elefanti marini, pinguini di Magellano, Maras, Guanacos e Choiques vivono tutti nello stesso habitat. A circa 35 miglia da Puerto Madryn, arriviamo a El Desempeño, accesso principale a Peninsula Valdes, e dopo altre 30 miglia arriviamo a Puerto Piramides, dove, da giugno a dicembre, è possibile prendere una barca e guardare le balene meridionali, e il resto dell'anno ci sono gite in barca per osservare i leoni marini e godersi il paesaggio. Da Puerto Piramides ci dirigeremo a Caleta Valdes, a 47 miglia di distanza, e lì ti godrai i magnifici elefanti marini e pinguini. E da lì continuiamo a Punta Norte, e lì troviamo i leoni marini, gli elefanti marini e occasionalmente le orche. Tornando a Puerto Madryn, ci fermeremo all'isola di Los Pajaros, sede di una grande varietà di uccelli marini, dove finiremo la nostra visita in questa incredibile area naturale protetta.
Il centro visitatori ci offre un'immagine generale di Peninsula Valdes e delle sue attrazioni anche il punto di vista ci delizia con la vista di entrambi i golfi (Golfo Nuevo e Golfo San Jose) e Isla de los Pajaros
Tra giugno e dicembre è possibile effettuare l'osservazione delle balene a bordo (opzionale non incluso nella tariffa)
Tra settembre e aprile possiamo vedere una piccola colonia di pinguini di Magellano sulla baia stessa. Già nella bocca della baia per la maggior parte dell'anno possiamo vedere le foche degli elefanti meridionali.

The itinerary was excellent. The tour guide was enthusiastic, attentive, and provided clear explanations. The car was clean and comfortable.
My two adult children and I just finished a private all day tour of Peninsula Valdes & Estancia San Lorenzo with an amazingly knowledgeable guide, Pierre. He shared so much information about the wildlife in the area, and helped point out guanaco, rhea, a grey fox, penguins, elephant seals, sea lions, an amazing variety of birds, and ORCA! We were not counting on seeing the orca close in to shore at Punta Norte- but he timed things so we got there near high tide and we were lucky enough to see 3 of them close in. He was very gracious about staying longer to watch them stalk the seals and had a great sense of humor throughout the day. The tour was not cheap, but it included entrance fees and lunch, and helped us avoid waits, it was well worth it. Highly recommend!
Very nice driver. Showed us the right spots and told us a lot about it. we saw penguins, sea elephants and sea lions. the packed lunch was also fine.
I contacted this company directly for 9 of us from the cruise ship, everything went to plan for meeting up, nice clean van, and knowledgeable guide Nora who spoke great English, no whales about this time of year but plenty of close up penguins and elephant seals & seal lions.
The view was amazing ! The guide Marie and driver was wonderful! We saw pingouin and sea lion. I recommend doing a private tour to have more time.
Fabulous excursion with Sentir Patagonia. Imagine celebrating New Years Eve with a million Magellanic Penguins and sea lions in their natural habit. We also got to see Maras, Guanacos and Choiques on beautiful Peninsula Valdes. Thanks to Sentir Patagonia, who took on this excursion, we got to see up close Magellanic Penguins and learn about their mating habits and migration. We also got to visit Estancia San Lorenzo, a working sheep farm. While there, we had an exquisite barbeque. From Estancia San Lorenzo we drove to Punta Norte which was the crown jewel of our trip. The ocean was a beautiful topaz blue, and the beach was bathed in sunlight with hundreds of Sea Lions basking in the sun. We didn't want to leave. Thank you, Sentir Patagonia!
