Our driver arrived on time at the agreed time and took us from Prague to Nuremberg with total tranquility. The journey is long — about 3 hours — due to the distance, so it is important that the traveler be aware of this before booking the tour. Upon arrival in Nuremberg, we visit the Nazi Documentation Centre, followed by the Nuremberg Trial Museum, which is extremely well organized, rich in historical information and preserves the original courtroom, making the experience even more impactful. Afterwards, we have lunch at a local restaurant and we continue to the historic center of the city, which is very beautiful and pleasant to walk. After the tour, we return as planned. Overall, it was an excellent experience, well organized and very enriching from a historical point of view. I highly recommend, with the exception that this is a long journey.
We were so pleased to have Lenka as our guide on our private excursion to Nuremburg, Germany. Given the relatively long distance to Nuremburg (3 hours each way) it was truly a pleasure to ride in style with Lenka, who is both very kind and extremely intelligent. On the ride to Nuremburg and back we spoke about everything from the EU parliamentary election, to medieval history, to agricultural exports, to old films. I truly feel blessed to have Lenka as our guide, her wealth of knowledge is outstanding, and she was in tune to the needs of my elderly father who has trouble walking. -Our visit to Nuremburg started at the Documentation Center, located in the former Nazi party rally grounds within a massive coliseum constructed by Hitler. Tickets were included, and, interestingly, the museum did not focus on the Holocaust, but rather on Hitler's rise to power and how he truly captivated the minds of the German people. Both interesting and frightening to see a grandstand from which Hitler spoke, and where Triumph of the Will was filmed (the rally grounds are massive, mostly unfinished or demolished with some segments remaining, like the museum). After this we visited the Nuremburg Trial museum located a bit closer to the city. Learned in-depth about the trial process, roles of various nations, and outcomes for the detained Germans. -After this we took a break from Nuremburg's stark past, and enjoyed a walk through the Old Town, which looks stunning with its many medieval walls and turrets. We visited beautiful gothic churches, enjoyed Nuremburg's many markets and sausage stands, and got to view the gorgeous castle. -Ultimately, we had a wonderful day, and I cannot stress enough how Lenka made this possible. Many thanks!
Hi Andrew, thank you very much for the review. I also had a great time with you and your father. Talking to you during the journey made the driving really enjoyable and I am happy that you also had a great time in the city. All the best to you and your father. Lenka
