Il forte di Nizwa è uno dei più antichi dell'Oman e si trova nel governatorato di A'Dakhiliyah. Ha una grande forma rotonda unica. La sua altezza raggiunge i 24 metri, con un diametro esterno di 43 metri e un diametro interno di 36 metri. Il forte di Nizwa fu costruito dall'Imam Sultan Bin Saif Al Y`aribi a metà del XVII secolo.
Nizwa è rinomata per i suoi gioielli in argento, considerati i migliori del paese. La gente di Nizwa è maestra nella fabbricazione di Khanjar, riconosciuta per il suo stile e modelli distintivi e nota per l'artigianato dell'argento in generale. Producono anche oggetti in rame, caffettiere, spade, pelletteria e ceramica.
Bahla è una città patrimonio dell'umanità dell'UNESCO, situata a 40 km da Nizwa ea circa 200 km dalla capitale dell'Oman Mascate, che si trova nella regione di Ad Dakhiliyah nell'Oman. È noto come sede di una delle più antiche fortezze del paese, il Forte Bahla del XIII secolo e delle ceramiche della città.
Jabrin, conosciuta anche come Jabreen, la città è nota per il suo imponente castello, che fu costruito dalla dinastia Yaruba Imam Bil'arab bin Sultan, che governò dal 1679 al 1692 e che fu sepolto in sito.

As I did a customized tour, I visited only the Bahla fort and the Oman across ages museum. Both places were very interesting and worth of visiting if you are in Oman. My guide Amer was very knowledgeable about the history and the customs of his country.

Our private guide, Ahmed Alghammari, made this tour very enjoyable. His knowledge of each place we went to increased the value of our visits. He had a great sense of humor and was super friendly. We showed him some photos we found on Instagram, and he knew exactly where we needed to go to get those same shots. That saved us so much time! I’d definitely recommend this tour when you’re in Muscat. If you’re lucky enough to get Ahmed, you can expect a fun-filled day and you’ll learn things while you’re at it.

I had a wonderful day with Khalil As well as the main sites we tasted dates and halwa, and blue tea, saffron water and Omani bread. He is knowledgeable, a good driver and able to understand my Australian accent. I highly recommend him

Great tour sites to learn some of the history of Oman with a reasonable pace and the tour guide was excellent.
