Tour Privato di Mezza Giornata in E-Bike a Rio

L’idea di fare un tour in bicicletta elettrica a Rio è nata dalla mia passione per la bici e dal mio amore per la città in cui ho scelto di vivere. Dopo varie giornate passate a pedalare dentro la foresta con una bicicletta normale mi sono iniziato a domandare come sarebbe stato possibile rendere questa esperienza praticabile per molte più persone. È così che mi è venuto in mente di comprare delle biciclette elettriche in grado di assistere chi ne dovesse avere bisogno lungo il percorso. (le biciclette sono a pedalata assistitia, non hanno l'accelleratore e non sono una moto) Durante questa esperienza avrete la possibilità di conoscere tantissimi posti meravigliosi, poco accessibili e meno conosciuti. Al termine della giornata avrete un'immagine di Rio de Janiero differente, e saprete molte più cose su come è composta e strutturata la città. Oltre a questo sarete in contatto costante con la natura, con possibili e probabili incontri con tucani, scimmie e molti altri animali esotici.

Itinerario
Ci incontreremo in Rua Aarão Reis 105, dove vi mostrerò come funzionano le biciclette elettriche e vi darò dei consigli su come affrontare il tour. Inizieremo a pedalare per il quartiere di Santa Teresa in direzione Mirante Dona Marta, passando per vari punti turistici come il Castelo Valentim, il mirante Dos Prazeres, e la scuola CEAT, ispirata al palazzo vecchio di Firenze.
Arriveremo al Mirante Dona Marta, uno dei belvedere più belli della città, dove parcheggeremo le bici e vi scatterò varie foto con vista Cristo Redentore e Pan di Zucchero e vi spiegherò come è strutturata la città.
Dal Mirante Dona Marta ci dirigeremo verso il Centro de Vistante Paneiras (il parcheggio del Cristo Redentore), dove ci sono un bagno e un bar per fare una pausa.
Dal Centro de Vistante Paneiras cominceremo la pista ciclabile dentro le strade della foresta di Tijuca. Passeremo per numerose viste incredibili della città meravigliosa, avremo possibili incontri con scimmie,tucani e altri animali esotici. Raggiungeremo il quartiere Alto da Boa Vista scendendo dal Corcovado (la montagna dove è situato il Cristo Redentore), posto in cui ci sarà la possibilità di andare in bagno e rinfrescarsi.
Dal quartiere Alto da Boa Vista riprenderemo il nostro tour in direzione tavola dell'imperatore, affrontando un'altra salita che sarà resa meno faticosa con l'aiuto della pedalata assistita. La tavola dell'imperatore è il posto in cui l'imperatore Dom Pedro II faceva i pic-nic, con una incredibile vista della zona sud di Rio de Janeiro.
Dalla Tavola dell'Imperatore inizieremo a scendere verso la Vista Chinesa, uno dei belvedere più famosi e meno accessibili della città. Da qui sarà possibile vedere il Cristo Redentore, il Pan di Zucchero, la Lagoa, Ipanema, la Baia di Guanabara e molti altri posti della città. Vi scatterò varie foto ricordo e inizieremo l'ultima discesa fino alla Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas.
Dalla Vista Chinesa scenderemo in direzione Lagoa, passando per le Cascate dell'Horto (posto in cui sarà possibile fermarsi per fare le foto e fare un bagno veloce) e a lato del Giardino Botanico di Rio. Percorremo buona parte della pista ciclabile della Lagoa, dove ci sono varie viste incredibili di Rio, in direzione Copacabana.
Arriveremo a sud della spiaggia di Copacabana e percorreremo tutta la pista ciclabile in direzione Botafogo.
Da Copacabana seguiremo sulla pista ciclabile e raggiungeremo la spiaggia di Botafogo, dove ci sarà una vista spettacolare del Pan di Zucchero.
Dalla spiaggia di Botafogo continueremo la pista ciclabile che ci porterà al parco più bello e famoso di Rio, l'aterro do Flamengo. Lo percorremo quasi totalmente, passando a lato della spiaggia di Flamengo, e ritorneremo verso il punto di partenza, Santa Teresa, affrontando l'ultima salita della giornata.
Arriveremo a Santa Teresa passando per la via più famosa e turistica del quartiere, dove vi mostrerò botiques e ristoranti. Da Largo dos Guimaraes andremo verso il punto di partenza (a pochi metri di distanza) dove si concluderà il tour.

We did the tour with Stefano from www.vitacarioca.com (I recommend visiting his page for more details and other tours) on the first day we arrived in Rio and we were delighted. I can say it was the best experience in Rio, on par with Christ the Redeemer or Sugarloaf Mountain, but with the advantage of not having the crowds of those places. If you want to escape the typical crowded tours, this is your option; being able to go through the jungle with hardly anyone around is priceless. Jungle, beautiful landscapes, stunning views, and Stefano was a 10, very friendly, talking about the animals, giving city and food tips, etc. The bicycles were excellently maintained; they were not heavy even without electric assistance (I have tried others that felt like moving a dead weight without it), and they come with spare batteries. Everything was very well planned. Although the tour is not advertised in Spanish, do not hesitate to do it if you only speak Spanish, as he speaks and understands it perfectly at 95%. I had a fantastic experience with Vita Carioca and would definitely recommend their e-mountainbike tours. Communication was smooth from the start—everything was arranged via WhatsApp, and I could easily discuss route options in advance. They generally suggest different routes in Tijuca National Park (around 30–50 km) as well as a more urban option; I chose the longer park tour and it was absolutely worth it. Despite Rio’s heat, the temperature in the park was surprisingly comfortable, and with the e-bikes the distance is very manageable. I especially appreciated how safe everything felt—no riding through favelas—and how you get to see a completely different, green side of Rio that’s easy to miss otherwise. The guide was attentive and well-organized, even coordinating with my Uber driver beforehand to ensure a safe ride to Santa Teresa. Along the way, we had plenty of scenic stops, amazing views of Corcovado, and even spotted two sloths. The equipment was high quality (helmet included), and you can adjust the difficulty easily by controlling the level of assistance on the bike. After the tour, I received lots of great photos and videos, and the guide even dropped me off at the Selarón Steps, which was a nice extra touch. Overall, a really enjoyable and unique way to explore Rio.

If you’re after a unique and energetic view of Rio this is the tour for you. Stefano guided us through some amazing parts of Rio that most tourist would not experience. Being on an e-bike gave us a real connection to the environment which included the forest as well as the city and beaches. We saw several types of monkeys, turtles, toucans and lots of other birds. We covered 50km in 6 hours which should be considered when booking this. Totally worth the effort. Thanks Stefano for a memorable tour.

Our e-bike tour was the highlight of our trip to Rio. The ride started at our guides local suburb, which gave us more authentic feel of the city. Great bikes that made things effortless so we could relax and enjoy the views. Stefano was friendly, knowledgeable and made sure we felt safe navigating both the greener areas and the coastal paths. We’ve been visiting Rio for many years. This tour provided by Stefano was so much fun. We were able to see things from a perspective we’ve never seen before. Stefano did an excellent job leading us up and down the hills and throughout the city. This was one of our favorite memories from our trip. Not to mention we impressed our adult kids doing 50k and surviving. Thanks once again Stefano- we are definitely coming back and bringing our kids on this tour.
