Mercato dell'antica Olimpia, Olimpia, Grecia Scopri il luogo di nascita dei Giochi Olimpici visitando prima il sito archeologico. Ammirerai la vista mozzafiato dei monumenti più famosi come l'antico stadio, che ha ospitato 40.000 spettatori, il tempio di Zeus ed Era e molti altri.
dove vedrai le metope del tempio di Zeus, la magnifica statua di Ermes di Prassitele, la statua di Nike di Paionios e l'elmo di Milziade, famoso generale delle guerre persiane. Puoi anche visitare il Museo della Storia dei Giochi dove puoi saperne di più su come sono iniziati i Giochi Olimpici e sugli sport in cui erano inclusi.
Imparerai molto sulla produzione del miele e avrai anche la possibilità di provarlo.
Un luogo ideale per l'estate con vista incantevole sulla baia del Mar Ionio dove si può gustare un drink e nuotare.
Visitiamo il monastero se vuoi seguire il programma del tour, altrimenti possiamo visitare un altro luogo a tua scelta alla stessa distanza. Il monastero si trova, tra i villaggi Lanthi e Labeti, su una ripida roccia con una vista straordinaria sul monte Erymanthos e sulla foresta di Foloi.

Il nostro punto d'incontro sarà la prima uscita dal porto di Katakolon. Al tuo arrivo al porto, sarò lì a prenderti con il nostro veicolo e offrirti un tour che durerà 4-5 ore al massimo. Terrò in mano una lavagna con scritto il tuo nome, così mi riconoscerai facilmente. Fuori servizio è disponibile su richiesta.

Christos was amazing. He had so much history to share and knew where to go to make the most of our time. He was kind, open to anything we wanted to see or change, and filled with suggestions that made for a fantastic day for us and our adult children. Besides the Olympic ruins, our favorite thing was Klio’s honey farm. Klio taught us about her family business and so much about bee keeping/honey making. This tour added a great local feel to Olympia. We highly recommend Christos to all!
Marilena was an excellent host for 4 ladies - she met us in time, took us to the Olympic ruins, a honey farm and an olive oil producer - she was professional, friendly and gave us lots of insights along the way. Wonderful day!
Demetria made our family's introduction to Olympia absolutely seamless and memorable. She was easy to spot when we arrived, and from there, everything went beautifully. She had a genuine warmth with our kids and kept us all engaged with thoughtful insights about local economics, culture, and olive cultivation. What really stood out was her patience at the museum—she gave us exactly the time we needed without any rush. But the real magic was her restaurant recommendation: through her personal connection, she introduced us to To Kupua, where the owner and staff treated us like family. It was genuinely the best meal we had on our entire trip. The car was impeccably clean and Demetria's driving was confident and safe. For families coming off a cruise looking for a knowledgeable, trustworthy guide who actually cares about your experience, she's the real deal.
Panos is a lovely young man- he is very knowledgeable, punctual & is great at communicating. His English is very good. He also got us to the front of the queue at the museum!
Nancy is the best tour guide. She took us to places that the tour busses don’t go to. If you wish to immerse yourself into the local culture, people, food, wine and lifestyle, this day tour will tick all of your boxes. Nancy was super fun and the real deal. I would not consider this a tour. It was a taxi driver who picks you up and takes you to Olympia. It would be cheaper to just get a taxi at the port. If you want a true tour book elsewhere.

This was an amazing tour, very tailored to our interests and needs! Andreas showed us beautiful flowers & other vegetation, and olive trees in bloom. We went to the top of a monastery, with gorgeous views, and an incredible quiet peacefulness. We had an overview of the Olympic grounds, and Andreas provided interesting historical information. We had a tour of an olive mill, with tastings, and I even had some of the flavored oils shipped home! We were hurrying to get back to our ship, but Andreas knew where to get grilled sardines (a Greek speciality) and salads to go. He delivered us back in perfect time! This tour was a highlight of our entire trip...I can't recommend Taxi Katakolo highly enough!!!
