Sulla strada per il Parco Nazionale di Yangmingshan, potresti avere la possibilità di vedere i macachi di Formosan. L'altitudine è di circa 700 a 1.000 metri, quindi sarà leggermente più fresco della città. Le attrazioni principali sono Qingtiangang Grassland e Xiaoyoukeng Recreation Area.
Arroccato in cima al Parco Nazionale di Yangmingshan, Qingtiangang è una vasta prateria pianeggiante che offre spettacolari viste panoramiche. ITh un'altitudine di circa 800 metri, la temperatura è leggermente più fresca della città, rendendolo un luogo ideale per una piacevole passeggiata o un picnic. Durante l'occupazione Giapponese, questa zona fu istituita come ranch per il pascolo del bestiame. Oggi è ancora possibile avvistare bufali d'acqua selvatici e altri animali selvatici che pascolano tranquillamente qui. A causa della sua elevata altitudine, la zona è spesso avvolta da nuvole e nebbia, creando una bellezza unica ed eterea.
Situato nell'angolo nord-occidentale del Monte Qixing a un'altitudine di circa 805 metri, Xiaoyoukeng è un parco geologico post-vulcanico dove è possibile assistere in prima persona a fenomeni vulcanici attivi. Avvicinandosi, si possono vedere le bocchette del vapore e sentire il profumo distinto di zolfo dell'attività vulcanica. Questa zona serve più come piattaforma di osservazione, quindi non è necessario camminare a lungo per godersi il paesaggio impressionante.
Il Geoparco di Yehliu è una delle principali destinazioni del nord di Taiwan, che ospita una collezione di formazioni geologiche uniche scolpite dal vento e dal mare. Mentre il parco è più famoso per l'iconica Testa di Regina, si possono anche scoprire altre formazioni notevoli come Candele di Mare, Fairy Shoe, Ginger Rocks e Princess' Head. Poiché il parco è un'area aperta ed esposta con poco o nessun riparo, è importante essere preparati al clima. In inverno, il forte monsone di nord-est può sentire abbastanza freddo e freddo. The tour was full of beautiful sights. We were excited for the trip, but our tour guide Jennifer, made the experience better than we could have ever expected. She is Passionate about the history and knowledgeable about all the surroundings. Very comfortable car, punctual, and fantastic English speaking. My fiancée has a gluten allergy and she was so helpful translating with locals so she could eat. Thank you for the wonderful experience Jennifer!
We had a great day out of the city with Cody, the weather was perfect to see the park and Neolithic carvings. He got to know us quickly and what we wanted to do. We had lots of questions and he was able to answer them all. He had good knowledge of where we visited. 👍 He was a very safe driver; we drove back in a thunderstorm, no worries though. The pace was perfect.
Even though the weather was not good, we still managed to see most of the sights and had a wonderful time! Ben, our guide, was warm and friendly and accommodating. He also helped us take many lovely family photos. Highly recommend this tour for a break from the usual city sights in Taipei!

I'd highly recommend this tour for those who want to experience some of the interesting geological features and natural beauty of the Greater Taipei area. Hicks was an excellent guide and knew all the best spots. A very enjoyable short tour.

The tour was very flexible, and we were picked up from our hotel by Henry who was friendly and informative. Plenty of time was given at each location to enjoy the view and take photos. we were able to collect many stamps from the visitor center and had a delicious fresh fish meal. Paul was a wonderful guide who was flexible and easy to work with. The rains brought thick fog to Yangmingshan National Park that we needed to have a plan B. Paul brought us to Jinshan instead which is the first settlement of the Hokkien migrants from Mainland China. It was a good alternative . Yehliu Geopark did not disappoint despite the continued drizzle.

If not for the weather, this would have been a great trip. We could not see anything in Yangmingshan National Park because of the fog but I was already warned by our superb tour guide Paul Yang. Paul had a plan B though and he brought us to Jinshan instead to experience authentic authentic Taiwanese lifestyle. This is the first settlement by their ancestors who travelled from the Hokkien province of mainland China thereby having almost - 400 years of history . Yehliu Geopark did not disappoint.

Vincent is a wonderful tour guide and anyone would be lucky to have his services. Highly recommended, its a private tour with him walking alongside and supporting and sharing/teaching about the area sites. Its not too overwhelming and you still get privacy with ur family but also a fun uncle/friend to banter and chat with. He really matches your energy and I would use his services again back in Taiwan :)
