Il giro turistico ad Atene inizia a guidare sotto la collina dell'Acropoli. Sulla storica collina avrai l'opportunità di vedere l'Odeon di Erode Attico, il Tempio di Atena Nike, la porta monumentale (Propilei), l'Eretteo e, naturalmente, il famoso Partenone, il tempio principale dedicato alla dea vergine Atena.
I Propilei sono gli ingressi monumentali dell'area sacra dedicata ad Atena, dea protettrice della città. Costruito dall'architetto Mnesicles con marmo pentelico, il loro design era all'avanguardia. A sud-ovest dei Propilei, su un bastione che protegge l'ingresso principale dell'Acropoli, si trova il tempio ionico di Apteros Nike.
Partenone, il tempio principale dedicato alla dea vergine Atena. L'eterno simbolo della democrazia ateniese e della civiltà occidentale.

L'Odeon di Erode Attico è una struttura di teatro romano in pietra situata sul versante sud-ovest dell'Acropoli di Atene, in Grecia. L'edificio fu completato nel 161 d.C. e poi rinnovato nel 1950.
Dopo l'Acropoli, ci dirigeremo verso il Tempio di Zeus, il più grande tempio dell'antichità, dedicato al Re degli Dei, attraverso l'arco di Adriano.
Visiteremo lo stadio panatenaico dove si sono svolti i primi giochi olimpici moderni nel 1896.
Quindi, spostandoci nel centro storico della città, guideremo su per la collina più alta di Atene, la collina di Licabetto, dove avrai la migliore vista panoramica della città, dalla collina dell'Acropoli al Mar Egeo.

Vedremo il cambio della guardia (Euzones) di fronte al vecchio palazzo, che è oggi sede del parlamento, sopra la piazza centrale di Atene.

L'Università Nazionale e Kapodistriana di Atene è la più grande istituzione statale di istruzione superiore in Grecia e tra le più grandi università in Europa. La splendida Università di Atene è stata progettata dall'architetto danese Christian Hansen e completata nel 1864.
La Biblioteca Nazionale di Grecia fu costruita alla fine del 19 ° secolo, come l'ultima della trilogia architettonica di Atene, un gruppo di tre edifici neoclassici che comprende anche l'Accademia e l'Università. L'edificio è stato progettato da Theophil Hansen.

We were so lucky to have Andreas our guide. He is so full of energy and knowledge and stories. He brought everything to life. He took us to so many really cool places, guiding us on where to go and even stand to get the best pictures. I can’t recommend this tour and Andreas enough.
Pantelis was our guide for our first ever private tour and he was terrific. While expertly navigating the traffic and sometimes narrow roads he gave us a fact-filled excursion while maintaining a pace that we were comfortable with.

Our driver / guide Tolis was absolutely wonderful! Loads of insight into the sites and the sights of Athens. It was a beautiful tour through time - ancient monuments through to present day ceremonies and life. Olive Sea was excellent - helpful, responsive and efficient. We did two tours with them (this evening Acropolis as well as the Temple of Poseidon the next day). Both great. I took this photo a few hours after the tour, around midnight, with the full moon.

While traveling we tend to have a hard time choosing tours due to the size and ages of our family (2-71). We currently are in Athens and checked with our concierge for an evening tour of the acropolis and Olympic stadium which they didn’t have to offer. We prefer private tours to suite our needs with small children and a father with mobility issues. Today I googled for tours and found this one on viator it checked all of the boxes and was a very affordable price. The Mercedes van has a small table with drink holders and 14 seats. We met Yianis Pappas our tour guide who was welcoming, professional and very knowledgeable. He showed us around Athens we opted to not get out at some places as we were there yesterday but it was great knowing what we were actually taking pictures of and the stories behind the places. I would 1000% book with him again. Outside of watching the sunset at the acropolis my other favorite was seeing changing of the guards in front of the Presidents house. Learning bout their military reasons for their symbolic uniforms and every day Greek way of life. It was an excellent tour and would recommend Yianis P! -Kaitlyn
