Alfama è il quartiere più antico di Lisbona. Una capsula del tempo di strade strette e labirintiche, e punti panoramici che si affacciano sul Castello di San Giorgio, la città e il fiume Tago. Ci fermiamo a uno di loro.
Scopri i dettagli del grande terremoto e come Lisbona è risorta dalle ceneri. Baixa, o Pombaline Downtown, prende il nome dal marchese di Pombal, il primo ministro del Portogallo che guidò la ricostruzione di Lisbona dopo il grande terremoto del 1755. Un reticolo di strade, con innovative costruzioni antisismiche, una delle prime al mondo.
Belém è il quartiere emblematico dell'età portoghese delle scoperte (1400-1500). Sede di monumenti storici che ci ricordano il passato marittimo del Portogallo. Come i siti del patrimonio mondiale del 1500 - la Torre di Belém (fermata fotografica) e il Monastero di Jerónimos (solo all'esterno, non entreremo). Lì spicca il Monumento alle Scoperte - una gigantesca nave in pietra calcarea, pronta a salpare sul fiume Tago, con Enrico il Navigatore a prua. E nessun viaggio a Belém sarebbe completo senza una sosta al "Pastéis de Belém" per assaggiare la nostra famosa crostata di crema all'uovo (non inclusa - la tua guida ti aiuterà a navigare le file e trovare un tavolo).

We had a great half day with Sandra touring Lisbon! She was extremely knowledgeable and engaging. The route was well thought out and she customized for our interests as well. Glad we did the driving tour - walking would have limited what we could see since the city is spread out, and driving ourselves would have been scary.

Our tour with Sandra and No Map Tours was amazing! She picked us up at the cruise port on time..early actually. She took us to some incredible sites and was very good at explaining all the history! We learned a lot! The tarts in Belém were delicious and we are so thankful we were able to try them. You can’t go wrong booking with No Map Tours.
