Luca was our driver and he did a great job! The tour company coordinated tickets and tour guide at Pompeii for us for an extra charge. This was really helpful. I was under the impression the tour was a private tour and it ended up being a smaller group. It turned out just fine and we enjoyed the tour. We absolutely loved Ravello. We ate a Mimi’s pizzeria. I think we would have stayed in Ravello longer had we known the other town would be so crowded. Ravello was so charming and quiet. This tour is a driver not a tour guide. Be prepared with where you want to go and what you want to see. Do your own research or you might miss something.
Guido was our driver, had a great time. Very accommodating to our family. I was able to book everything direct via WhatsApp a few weeks before our cruise and they had everything set up for us, text us the day before with a few last minute tips and we were off to the races. If you go to Pompeii realize you’re dropped off towards the back part of it near the vineyards, it’s a long walk to where many people enter and where the molds are, so be ready, they can’t get the vans over to that side it seems, makes seeing it all difficult with only a couple hours. We had such a great time visiting Pompeii, Ravello, and Amalfi Coast! Amalficoast Lovers truly gave us an incredible experience and were kind enough to work with us when we had to move to a different hotel last minute. Guido was an amazing guide and driver! You can see how passionate he is about his country and what he does. This tour is perfect for people who just want to see enough from each place, take pictures, and learn more about this beautiful country. So glad we had this experience as a family and would absolutely recommend!!
Excellent day! We had a great time visiting Pompei, Ravello and Amalfi and our driver Luigi was lovely, helpful and shared area knowledge with us. He even gave us a little extra time to return shen we asked. We would definitely recommend 😁
Do not use this guide. We waited two hours for them to show. Up. They wouldn’t answer phone calls or WhatsApp messages . Then they said they were there. And we weren’t. Pure lie. Fortunately I took a map screen shot of are location with date and time now we’re trying to get refund.
Dear Mr. Christopher Williams, Your review is completely false and misleading, and it’s truly disappointing to see how far some guests will go just to obtain a refund. Our driver was at the exact meeting point at 8:15 AM, as agreed directly with your travel agent, Ms. Heather Cracauer, who personally confirmed the pickup time of 8:30 AM. You, instead, arrived an hour early (at 7:30 AM), then left before the scheduled time, without ever answering the dozens of calls and WhatsApp messages made to your phone number +1 651-300-9722. Your agent also ignored several calls from our driver during that same time. We are a serious and professional company, and we have provided Viator with all the proof — including screenshots of our conversation with your agent, timestamps, call logs, and GPS evidence of the driver’s presence at the meeting point for over an hour. Despite your false claims, and only to maintain good relations with your travel agent, we even offered a partial refund, because our driver and vehicle (a Mercedes van rented at our own expense after a last-minute breakdown) lost an entire working day waiting for you. Your behavior — not showing up, ignoring all communications, and then accusing us of lying — is unacceptable and unfair to those who work seriously every day to provide excellent service. We strongly reject your accusations and trust that anyone reading this will understand who acted in good faith and who did not. — Amalfi Coast Lovers Team
Giuseppe was a wonderful tour guide of the scenic Amalfi Coast and Pompeii! It was wonderful to spend the day with a local who was so experienced and could suggest great picture taking spots. Without Giuseppe, we would have never known about the mansion which offered breathtaking views, creating memories we will always cherish. I highly recommend this tour, and especially, Giuseppe as a guide!
This was one of the first excursions I booked for my family for our 7 person cruise to Italy and Greece. Pompeii is a bucket list item for us. Just a few days before the excursion, and after we were on the ship, I received a message from the tour operator saying that the government was cracking down on car tours of the Amalfi coast because of congestion. I appreciated that the tour company tried to offerer me other options, including several more expensive boat tours, but none would have accomplished our goal. And of course by the time that they cancelled, all of the Pompeii excursions from the cruise ship were full. Strangely enough, when I went to look at the page on Viator, I was able to "book" it again, at a higher price. Extremely disappointed.
Hi Kimberly we are very disappointed by your review, we assisted and supported you, we warned you a week before the problem. unfortunately it is not our fault and what you say is false, you did not book another tour with us at a higher price. You booked with some other supplier, but not with us. We are an honest and serious company.
Leave plenty of time for each destination as traffic is crazy. Location pick-ups are also difficult as not a lot of parking areas for small vans or vehicles. Our tour guy was very good and polite. A nice lad
We booked a tour with them and Pierrto was our guide. Hw was absolutely amazing!!! He took us to the best points of interests and took great pictures of us. We highly recommend him!!
Giovanni was our guide and driver for our tour. He was a very well versed young gentleman who loves his homeland and is happy to share his experiences of life in Salerno and Amalfi Coast. He is passionate about the history and cultural heritage of the area. We spent 2 hours in Pompeii understanding why he feels this way. Then the Amalfi Cathedral that is hidden behind a facade of mediocre grace to divulge a myriad of amazing beauty and the Crypt that is Captivating. Topped of with the most fabulous hidden gem of Rovello. A place that has me mesmerised by the whole experience. Thanks for sharing the wonderful stories and incredible sights Giovanni
