La birra è una grande passione nella Repubblica Ceca. Ci sono modi molto particolari in cui viene versato, servito e persino tostato. Sì, i cechi non lo bevono solo, lo gustano. Ben noto dalla canzone "Good King Wenceslas" era un duca di Boemia e il santo patrono dei cechi. Sebbene sia morto giovane, e per mano del suo disturbo, è l'icona della Repubblica Ceca. Inoltre, la gente del posto lo usa come punto d'incontro. "Ci incontreremo sotto la coda" è una frase comune. Dopo che ci siamo incontrati andiamo nei nostri pub preferiti, proprio come farai durante il nostro tour.
Costruito nel 1818, ospita oggi quasi 14 milioni di oggetti dedicati alle scienze naturali e alle collezioni storiche. Quando i sovietici invasero Praga nel 1968, pensarono che fosse una sede del governo e vi spararono. I cechi hanno lasciato questi fori di proiettile nell'edificio per mostrare cosa dovevano superare. Dopo ampi lavori di ristrutturazione negli ultimi anni è ora riaperto.
Nel 1300 il Sacro Romano Impero Carlo II raddoppiò le dimensioni della città aggiungendo l'area denominata Città Nuova. Questa zona ospita molte delle sale da concerto, gallerie d'arte e teatri. I cechi amano l'arte e si vede con il numero di teatri e luoghi in tutta la città. Mentre la Città Vecchia contiene gran parte della sua architettura gotica originale, Città Nuova ne contiene alcuni ma ha anche molti stili più moderni.
Mentre cammini attraverso questa incantevole zona di Praga fino ai vari pub che la tua guida ha selezionato. Una struttura moderna terminata nel 1932. Questa insolita chiesa è stata progettata dallo stesso uomo che hai ridisegnato il castello all'inizio del 1900. Questa chiesa a forma di Arca custodisce il quadrante dell'orologio più grande del paese. L'uomo che ha progettato questa chiesa ha lavorato anche al Castello di Praga all'inizio del 1900. Considerato uno degli edifici più brutti del mondo, questa struttura è stata avviata dai comunisti alla fine degli anni '80. Oggi è un punto di riferimento con un'instillazione artistica piuttosto insolita. Ci sono 10 statue di bambini attaccate al lato dell'edificio che li fanno sembrare come se stessero scalando l'edificio. Queste sono una delle strane opere d'arte dell'artista locale, David Cerny. Questo monumento significa anche che siamo a pochi passi da un famoso locale di cibo e birra con una selezione di birre fatte solo da loro.
Uno dei siti interessanti di Praga è questo punto di riferimento culturale. Questo edificio ospitava pompe di vapore per portare l'acqua dal sottosuolo. È stato ritirato negli anni '60 e trasformato in appartamenti di fascia alta. La piattaforma superiore è alta 40 metri e offre una splendida vista sulla città.
I vigneti reali erano una volta in questa zona. Potresti anche notare la parola "vino" nel nome della zona. Oggi questa è una zona vivace con molti ristoranti, bar e panetterie. Ampio parco e spazio verde per rilassarsi. Qui vedrai la gente del posto riunirsi con gli amici e gustare un bicchiere di vino o birra.
Praga è da qualche parte circa il 20% di spazio verde. Culturalmente i cechi amano uscire e godersi i parchi con gli amici. Questo parco è affollato quasi ogni sera d'estate mentre la gente guarda il tramonto sullo skyline di Praga. Un'altra tradizione ceca sono i giardini della birra. The beer and tapas tour was great! Nikola took us by foot, metro, and tram to try local breweries and specialty small bites. Along the way we learned some of the history of Prague and how the breweries came to be. She also sent us other suggestions for restaurants and breweries to try. Definitely a fun experience and Nikola was a fun and entertaining guide!

4+ hours off fun on the Tapas Tour with our guide Guillaume Vergne (Will).He was fabulous and took us to local places that he favored that were not the typical tourist spots. We had a delightful experience We traveled by public transportation to several different areas to try and experience an array of different beers and tapas with a very experienced and knowledgeable guide..we enjoyed venturing out past the regular touristy areas..would do again ..our guide even helped me retrieve a mini tripod i had lost the evening before from a local establishment..thanks again 😁

My wife and I booked this tour through a travel agent as we love to get a sense of a new city's food and culture by first going on a food/beer/wine tour. This was was a great way to get to know a bit of the culture and history of Prague. Our guide was easy to find, spoke great english, and was able to pivot in light of an unforeseen power failure. We saw a different area of Prague that we likely would have never ventured to without this. We got a great mix of beers and food. Go hungry!

We had a great experience on a tour with Vojta! We went to three unique locations and enjoyed seeing some of the area we had not experienced yet (a bit off the beaten path which we love). We experienced beer and tapas at each location. Vojta is very knowledgable about beer and the area too! After being on several tours with history and architecture, it was nice to chill and enjoy an evening of beers and tapas! We had thought we were going to take a tour in Pilsner, but decided on this due to timing and it worked out great! He was prompt and friendly and we really enjoyed the tour! Book it!

We had the best time with Will. Not only is he very knowledgeable, but he is a lot of fun. He took us to different places we would've never found on our own. He educated us on the city and the various beers. We had some delicious food as well. I am not a huge beer drinker and still absolutely loved this tour. I was with my adult children, and they truly enjoyed it as well.

Great guide who told us not only about beer, but other things about Prague. He was fun to hang out with. It was just our family and the guide. We probably could have found a lot of bars without the guide, but this made it more fun. He also recommended some food and other things to do.
