My guide shakeer was fantastic. I highly recommend booking this tour with him, he is kind, knowledgeable and has your best interests at heart, tailoring the day around you. And as a solo traveller he was a great source of advice! If you are looking for the best time in Jaipur, look no further and book this tour immediately
I booked a tour through Getyourguide and I have no regrets ! Shakeer took me to all the best places for blockprint, jewelry and pottery. As a solo traveler, it can be quite overwhelming to go shopping in Jaipur, but this was a pressure and hassle free experience :) Highly recommend !
This was a great tour! Shakeer and I discussed priorities, price and the days schedule. He was friendly, professional and knowledgeable about what price range I should be in, he was able to get the price lower, called around to help me find a similar product to the one I had been eyeing with another vendor. We covered a lot of ground and identified some good finds in different price ranges. I felt comfortable with him as other women solo travelers should, this tour would also be great for groups too.

I booked the light show with the guide at the Amber fort and because he took us to companies that did pressure us to buy I then booked a shopping excursion… give it a go 🙌🏼

Raj was a fantastic tour guide! My boyfriend found Raj through TripAdvisor (it was just the two of us traveling). He tailored the tour specifically to our interests and was very mindful to take us to places where we would not pressured to purchase items and with higher quality items - which was greatly appreciated. We would have had a difficult time finding these locations otherwise as tourists. He also helped us find a driver last minute when we first arrived in Jaipur when he was unavailable. This tour was a fantastic experience. The stores were vastly better than the chaos of the bazaars — the salesmen at nearly all of them were flexible on pricing and, very importantly, not too pushy. There’s obviously a premium for better quality, but compared to the same products elsewhere, these were still clearly better value per rupee. We were able to get 5 outfits made for an upcoming wedding, all of which we’re actually excited to wear. Raj was also a fantastic guide. We learned more about Jaipur’s history than expected and got a sense of what life in modern Jaipur looks like and how it’s changed in recent years. He was flexible with our schedule and helped us find everything we were specifically looking for. Navigating the chaos of shopping in Jaipur as a foreigner is kind of a pain but this tour made it an absolute breeze. Highly recommend. Would do again!

Shakeer was the best guide to shopping in Jaipur! I am traveling alone and felt totally safe with him and in the shops he took me to. The day prior, my sightseeing tour guide took me to a couple of shops where I felt pressured to purchase and after meeting Shakeer, I realized I paid more than double what I should have. He even took me to return two of the items. At every location, he checked in with me to make sure I was getting the help I needed, then negotiated on my behalf to not only get me the best price, but often to get a free gift thrown in. It’s clear he’s spent time cultivating relationships with the shop owners we met and his tour patrons are able to reap the benefits of that! Will definitely use him again next time I’m in Jaipur.
