Fu costruito nel 1966 come parte dell'ormai demolito complesso Divis Flats, che comprendeva dodici blocchi di terrazze e appartamenti di 8 piani, dal nome del vicino Divis Mountain. La torre, un complesso verticale di 96 appartamenti che ospitano circa 110 residenti, è stata progettata dall'architetto Frank Robertson per il Northern Ireland Housing Trust.

We prefer, when we can, to take private tours when we cruise. The risk is not knowing the people you are contracting with- will they be there, on time? how competent are the guides? can you contact them if there are problems? Collect from Cruise terminal by Paddy Campbell's Black Cab Tours, driver Damien was fantastic, so knowledgable, so much more info than we could remember, but we were totally fascinated with the subject matter which was The Falls Road and the Shankill Road area's. We had no idea how people still live in this area, such an eye opener. We were given permanent markers to sign the wall, its all very sobering but an absolute must if you are visiting Belfast. This was definitely the highlight of our UK cruise, and we tell everybody we can everything we remember. I would most highly recommend this company for this tour.
