È la più trafficata delle quattro stazioni che servono la città (le altre sono La Spezia Migliarina e Ca' di Boschetti per i viaggiatori e La Spezia Marittima per le merci nel porto stesso). Lungo la costa del Mar Tirreno, la stazione si trova sulla linea che collega Genova a Pisa.
Riomaggiore è uno dei cinque paesi che compongono le Cinque Terre, patrimonio mondiale dell'UNESCO. Questa città è famosa per i suoi cottage in pietra multicolori che danno l'impressione di essere accatastati l'uno sull'altro, così come per il suo porto, pieno di tradizionali barche da pesca. È anche considerato uno dei luoghi turistici più frequentati di tutta Italia.
Dopo la caduta di Roma si sa ben poco di Corniglia; tuttavia, nel XIII secolo, entrò a far parte della Repubblica di Genova. Corniglia è ancora famosa per il suo vino e i viaggiatori che vogliono vivere le Cinque Terre ma soggiornare in una zona tranquilla e meno trafficata cercano il villaggio. Corniglia si trova nella parte più meridionale delle Cinque Terre.
Vernazza è il quarto paese della rotta verso nord, è uno dei "borghi di pescatori" più autentici della Riviera Ligure, e non consente il traffico automobilistico. È l'unico porto naturale delle Cinque Terre ed è noto per le sofisticate case che vi si trovano. Il nome Vernazza deriva dalla parola latina verna, che si traduce in "nativo" in inglese.
Le Cinque Terre sono composte da cinque diverse comunità costiere, la più nota delle quali è Monterosso al Mare. Il villaggio si trova su diverse dolci colline coltivate a limoni, viti e ulivi. Questa pittoresca cittadina della riviera ligure è nota per ospitare alcuni dei locali più amichevoli grazie alle meravigliose spiagge, alle scogliere mozzafiato e alle acque incredibilmente limpide che la circondano.

The guide was fluent in both Italian and English. Not just panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea, but we also experienced amazing hiking paths and some unique local food at an eatery. The village of Riomaggiore is so colorful. An experience that we will cherish for a long time.
Listen to your guide using the ferry makes the day perfect. Make sure to have lunch in town. Private is best
This tour covered the areas highlighted for their heritage value. The guide provided insightful commentary with historical facts in a cultural context. As first time visitors, this tour was an excellent introduction to the Cinque Terre.

This is a rip off. They are sneaky by charging for the "group" instead of per person. Realize that if I had someone with me, it would have cost the same as if I was solo. $625 for a solo excursion. Robbery. How can you enjoy an excursion when you are getting violated. I do not care that the description or small print explains it!!! Common sense says it's robbery. I have used viator for many excursions in many countries. Never again unless I'm refunded half that amount.

Each location offered something unique. We were surprised by the ingenuity of the locals of Riomaggiore who’ve thrived despite the challenges of their rugged environment. This tour made us see how old-world charm is preserved amid the vibrance of everyday life.

Giovanna was the highlight of our trip to Cinque Terre. She was kind and funny and made sure we were all happy. We had 5 children ages 10-15 and 3 adults and she made sure there was something for everyone. This tour for me, was a great way to see one of Italy’s most eclectic regions. The villages nestled in the Liguria region are so inspiring that they have captured the imaginations of artists, writers, and poets for centuries. Seeing and experiencing all this, was a delight. I must say, that the tour guide had a deep understanding of these places.
