L'Imjingak Nuri Peace Park è stato sviluppato immediatamente dopo la dichiarazione congiunta della Corea del Sud nel 1972. Si tratta di uno spazio culturale complesso in cui si è tenuto il Festival della pace globale nel 2005. È composto da varie strutture culturali, come un teatro all'aperto su larga scala, la collina della musica e la collina del vento, dove girano circa 3.000 girandole. Questo è il posto dove prendere il bus navetta davanti alla biglietteria.
Il terzo tunnel è stato scoperto in un punto a soli 52 km (32 miglia) da Seoul, nel distretto amministrativo di Paju, nel 1978. Il tunnel è sotterraneo, con 73 m (240 piedi) di profondità, 1.635 m (1 miglio) , 2 m di larghezza e 2 m (6,6 piedi) di altezza. Inoltre, è grande quanto un esercito di trentamila soldati nordcoreani completamente armati che possono attraversarlo entro un'ora. È il più grande tra i tunnel scoperti finora. Questo sito è situato sulla montagna Dora all'interno della zona demilitarizzata e funge da osservatorio più settentrionale del sud e offre una vista ravvicinata della Corea del Nord. Direttamente davanti a voi potrete osservare un vicino posto di guardia nordcoreano, un villaggio di propaganda e terreni agricoli nordcoreani. Inoltre, è possibile intravedere l'area urbana di Gaeseong e il complesso industriale di Gaeseong, una torre di disturbo GPS volta a interrompere i segnali elettronici e impedire ai cittadini nordcoreani di accedere alle trasmissioni sudcoreane. In lontananza è visibile anche la Joint Security Area (JSA). Un altro aspetto intrigante è che in una giornata limpida e fortunata, puoi osservare i nordcoreani che lavorano nei campi, camminano lungo le strade o vanno in bicicletta attraverso il telescopio sul tetto dell'osservatorio. Di tanto in tanto potresti anche avvistare veicoli in transito, come automobili e trattori.
Tongilchon, noto anche come Villaggio dell'Unificazione, si trova all'interno dei confini della linea di controllo civile. È stata fondata nel 1973 e inizialmente comprendeva 40 famiglie di veterani e 40 famiglie autoctone. Ispirato al modello del Kibbutz in Israele, il villaggio è stato progettato strategicamente. Mentre i residenti svolgono il loro lavoro regolare nei giorni normali, vengono addestrati nelle procedure militari per rispondere alle situazioni di emergenza. La regione è rinomata per le sue specialità locali: soia Jangdan, ginseng e riso. Questi prodotti sono esposti presso il centro di commercializzazione agricola situato all'ingresso del paese e sono disponibili per la vendita ai visitatori.
Qui puoi visitare Mangbaedan, dove i membri della famiglia dispersi nati in Corea del Nord o che hanno la loro città natale lì vengono ogni Chuseok (Ringraziamento coreano) o il giorno del Capodanno lunare. C'è anche il "Ponte della Libertà", dove furono rimpatriati i prigionieri di guerra sudcoreani e delle Nazioni Unite alla fine della guerra di Corea. Vedrai anche una locomotiva a vapore gravemente danneggiata dall'attacco nemico durante la guerra di Corea, oltre a ponti e altri resti storici di quell'epoca. E poi pranzerai in un ristorante nelle vicinanze.
Il monte Gamaksan (675 m) è una delle cinque montagne rocciose della provincia di Gyeonggi. È stato costruito un ponte sospeso sopra una valle profonda, lungo 150 m (0,1 miglia) e alto 45 m (144 piedi), il tutto senza la necessità di piloni. Questo design consente al ponte di fondersi armoniosamente con la natura circostante. Questo ponte porta anche il nome aggiuntivo "Gloucester Heroes Bridge", in omaggio agli sforzi coraggiosi dei soldati del reggimento battaglione del Gloucestershire durante la guerra di Corea. In alternativa, puoi anche avere la possibilità di visitare il Monumento ai Caduti, dove potrai conoscere la guerra di Corea in modo molto più dettagliato, invece di andare al ponte sospeso di Gamaksan, o di visitare qualsiasi altro luogo desideri.
Questo è un tour facoltativo al ponte sospeso del monte Gamaksan. Il Monumento ai Caduti di Corea espone e conserva materiali relativi alla guerra di Corea e funge da luogo di educazione morale nazionale. Il museo ospita circa 33.000 manufatti, di cui circa 10.000 esposti in mostre al chiuso e all'aperto. Ci sono sei sale interne separate, tra cui la sala delle forze di spedizione, la sala del memoriale patriottico, la sala della storia della guerra, la sala della guerra di Corea 6·25, la sala dello sviluppo e la sala dei grandi macchinari.
