Apollo e Dafne – una scultura in marmo in stile barocco a grandezza naturale, realizzata dall'artista italiano Gian Lorenzo Bernini ed eseguita nel 1622-1625. Collocata nella Galleria Borghese di Roma, quest'opera raffigura il culmine della storia di Apollo e Dafne (Febe e Dafne) nelle Metamorfosi di Ovidio.
Pauline Bonaparte as Venus Victrix (o Venus Victorious) è un ritratto scultoreo neoclassico a grandezza naturale semi-nudo dello scultore italiano Antonio Canova. Fu commissionato dal marito di Paolina Bonaparte Camillo Borghese ed eseguito a Roma dal 1805 al 1808 dopo che lei sposò il rappresentante della famiglia Borghese. Poi la scultura si trasferì a casa di Camillo a Torino, poi a Genova, per approdare alla Galleria Borghese solo intorno al 1838.
Due busti del cardinale Scipione Borghese sono sculture ritratto in marmo create da Gian Lorenzo Bernini nel 1632. Entrambe le versioni del ritratto si trovano nella Galleria Borghese a Roma.
La verità svelata dal tempo è una scultura in marmo di Gian Lorenzo Bernini. Fu eseguito tra il 1646 e il 1652. L'artista voleva rappresentare allegoricamente la Verità, come una giovane donna nuda che viene svelata da una figura del Tempo sopra di lei. Tuttavia, una figura del tempo non è mai stata eseguita. Bernini riuscì ad esprimere la sua idea aggiungendo la figura nel 1665.
David è una scultura in marmo a grandezza naturale di Gian Lorenzo Bernini. Il cardinale Scipione Borghese lo commissionò per decorare la Galleria Borghese. Il capolavoro fu completato in sette mesi, dal 1623 al 1624. Il soggetto principale della scultura è il biblico Davide, in procinto di scagliare la pietra che abbatterà Golia, che consentirà a Davide di decapitarlo.

This tour was 100% worth it, and my only disappointment was that we were only able to hit the highlights of the highlights in time allotted. I never got any art education to speak of, so this two hours, where she covered about six pieces in depth, was really eye-opening.

It was fantastic visiting the gallery and learning about Bernini, Caravaggio and other great artists from a brilliant guide. Our tour guide took us masterfully through the highlights, explaining both how the pieces were created and the different interpretations of them. She pointed out what to look for and gave insight into their historical context. Having been on this tour we were able to appreciate the art and the artists of the Borghese gallery to a much greater level. Highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Rome!

I booked this trip through The Tour Guy who then uses 3rd party, Doooing, for private tour of the Borghese Gallery. I was in Rome for the last trip my mom will likely take given her health. Prior to booking the manager himself at The Tour Guy sent me the link to use (since they first told me it was include with the Colosseum based on multiple email exchanges). I used the link and both times it said it was denied YET my credit card was charged. I then emailed the Tour Guy and they confirmed that one of the two processing requests went through. I received a confirmation number and ticket via email and they personally sent this to me. The day before the tour I received a text with the link to my tickets. I took a 40 minute taxi with my two young kids and my physically disabled parents to the Borghese Gallery to meet the Doooing tour guide. I arrived early and there was a group tour but they said they did not have a private tour guide. They called Doooing office who said "you are correct, we see your confirmation and reservation but we do not have a guide NOR the tickets to get you in Borghese Gallery." They offered to give me tickets for several hours later to enter (yet I had other pre-paid timed experiences set for that time and it was our last day in Rome). I said I will just take my 12pm tickets for entry and just forget about the guide. Then they tell me they do not even have the tickets for entry and the gallery was already sold out since the week before when I booked this through them and The Tour Guy. They never offered to "use" tickets from those in the group tours who showed up after I. Literally they were like "sorry it is our mistake but nothing we can do." I ended up leaving, taking another 40 minute taxi back to the city (so now spending close to $100 in taxi to and from). I requested immediate reimbursement for the pre-paid tour/tickets and the cost of the taxi and now 3 days later I still do not have it. I reached out to The Tour Guy as well and they point finger to Doooing's mistake. This is after I had also booked over $1200 of private tours the two days prior with The Tour Guy. They offered me a pathetic $50 credit to another tour with them in the future. I live in the US and who knows when I will be back, clearly my mom's last trip of the life, AND I will not use either of these companies in the future. I have more to say about The Tour Guy and communication you get before and then after you actually pay for the tours. Before you get immediate responses suggesting personal company and then you book and they completely limit communication. Highly disappointed to miss this special top 3 sites we wanted to see in Rome.

Your reservation was for a standard guided tour, not a private tour, which is why no private guide was assigned to you. Additionally, we noticed that two separate bookings were made under your name, and one of them was later canceled, which may have contributed to the confusion. We understand how frustrating this situation must have been, and we sincerely regret any inconvenience.
