Dopo la colazione, incontro con l'autista locale e l'esperto di tour locali nella hall dell'hotel e inizia il tour della città di Delhi di un'intera giornata. Arrivo alla moschea Jama, costruita dall'imperatore Mughal Shah Jahan tra il 1644 e il 1656. Il suo costo di costruzione è di 1 milione di rupie. È stato costruito da più di 5000 lavoratori. È una delle moschee più grandi dell'India. Successivamente visita il bazar Chandani Chowk, è una strada di Delhi nota per la sua drogheria all'ingrosso e il più grande mercato di spezie all'ingrosso dell'Asia che vende tutte le spezie, noci, erbe e prodotti alimentari come riso e tè. Operativo dal 17° secolo.
Ora visita l'India Gate, che è annoverato tra i più grandi monumenti ai caduti in India. Situato nel centro di Nuova Delhi, fu costruito da Edwin Lutyens nel 1921. Commemora i membri dell'ex esercito indiano britannico. Più tardi passerai attraverso la casa del presidente conosciuta anche come Rashtrapati Bhavan (casa del presidente), precedentemente nota come la casa del viceré, è la casa ufficiale del presidente dell'India, situata all'estremità occidentale del percorso Raj a Nuova Delhi, in India.
Ora visiterai la tomba di Humayun, la tomba di Humayun è la tomba dell'imperatore Mughal Humayun a Delhi, in India. La tomba fu commissionata dalla prima moglie e consorte principale di Humayun, l'imperatrice Biga Begum, nel 1569-70. Dopo aver completato la tua visita alla tomba di Hamayun, verrai portato in uno dei migliori ristoranti di Delhi per pranzare a buffet indiano. Il pranzo non è incluso nel prezzo del tour e lo pagherai direttamente.
Più tardi visiterai Qutub Minar. La sua pietra rossa e lucida è la torre più alta dell'India. Qutbu'd-Din Aibak pose le fondamenta di Minar nel 1199 dC per l'uso del mu'azzin (banditore) per invocare la preghiera.
Ora visiterai Il Tempio del Loto, situato nel centro della città, è una casa di culto Bahai che è stata dedicata nel dicembre 1986, con un costo di 10 milioni di dollari. Notevole per la sua forma simile a un fiore, è diventata un'attrazione di spicco in città. Dopo aver visitato il tempio del loto, verrai ricondotto al punto del ritiro.

Nikhil was an excellent guide and host. He is knowledgeable and informative. We also had a lot fun looking around Old Delhi with him. Like you will find generally with these kinds of tours they take you to places to buy from associates and it can add up quickly, so don’t be afraid to say ‘no’. Products were good though. I would recommend this tour. Great driver as well with Manoj.

Spent the day exploring Delhi and Chandi Chowk with tour guide Nawin and driver Raj! They both took care of everything from start to finish so I didn’t have to worry about a thing. Nawin was extremely knowledgeable and was able to tell me so many facts about the places we visited which included Qutub Minar, Lotus Temple, Jama Mosque, and Humayun’s Tomb. I truly had a great day seeing new sights and am grateful for both Nawin and Raj for their time! I highly recommend working with them both if you’re visiting Delhi!
Great tour through New and Old Delhi. My tour guide and driver were super friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. The Old Delhi part was a cool experience as we walked and took an auto through the narrow winding streets. The main markets were closed on Sunday (if you want to see the spice markets definitely take the tour any day but Sunday), but the streets were still busy with informal and colorful markets. In New Delhi we saw many of the large attractions and were able to skip the big lines as foreigners. The tour was super flexible and tailored for my interests.
This day long tour of Old and New Delhi on 17 Mar 24, was excellent and struck just the right balance between sharing detailed historical knowledge and explaining life in present day India. We see our guide Nick as a friend and hopefully he will keep his promise to come visit us in Newcastle Upon Tyne sometime. We highly recommend this tour guide service. David & Jane Miller.

We had a wonderful day with our guide Manu and driver Raj touring both the Old and New Delhi. Everything worked well with the logistics, from the pick up at the hotel, and morning rickshaw ride through the old city, and it continued throughout the rest if the day. They made accommodations on our request, and tailored the tour cor us on the fly. In particular, we really appreciated that they respected our request not to visit any stores or factory outlets, since we made it clear from the beginning that we are not looking to buying anything, and want to spend the precious time we have on more genuine experiences. Manu is a good and engaging guide, and excellent photographer too, so we leave with a lot of great memories, both in our hearts and on our phone. Thanks, Jojen & Peter
